I'm not 'getting' old, I am old. I'm not the one that needs their eyes checked though. I think the prescription in those homer glasses of yours needs updating. The contact on Pasta is made at mid body. How do you not see that? Maybe try looking at that clip again on something larger than a phone

all that matters is making the playoffs. Everything else is meaningless. Including home ice and seeding.

The B's have 46 points after 29 games. They could more or less play .500 the rest of the way and still end up with 100 points and the division, which would make the playoffs a given. I agree home ice is close to meaningless in playoff hockey but if it comes down to the B's and Caps for the Conference Final I'd just as soon have it than not. OFC there's a lot of hockey to be played between now and then. As long as the points lead doesn't make the B's too comfortable the biggest benefit to it is being able to manage the veteran's ice time. Health and bounce in the legs is huge come playoff time.

What specific "multi-player improvements" are you looking to see?

We need another big, tough Defenceman, preferably right-handed and no worse than #4/5-calibre, to replace one of the weak midgets Grizzle & Clifton;

We need - and have needed for a very, Very long time - at least one more right-handed scoring Forward;

And it goes without saying, but I want Toooka Rask the feck outta here. Halak probably can't carry the load all the way, but we all know for a Fact that Toooka cannot.

Quick stole that one for LA in the 3rd. That tying goal for LA was as painful for a B's fan as Carlo's go ahead goal must have been for a Kings fan. Neither one had any place lighting the lamp. Kopitar's shot that won it for LA was just a great sniper's shot, there wasn't much there but he nailed it.

the bruins are embarrassing when it comes to the shootout. they all need to get on a bus and head over to the nearest sports phycologist.

You would think they would practice "shoot out shots" more. I can't stand the way they almost all go really slowly towards the goalie with some kind of "serpentine Shelley!" moves (yes, that is an Inlaws reference ), get too close and then either miss the shot completely or shoot it right into the goalie's pads. I like Bruce Cassidy, but unlike BB, I don't think there is any "What would Bruce do? " thinking going on here. You can bet if the Patriots had to win a fair amount of games in a shootout, they would be more prepared for the situation. Sigh.
