The Browns are not likely risk the jets taking whoever is at the top of their board.

The fact that none of the quarterbacks are even near ready seems to not matter. IMHO, these quarterbacks are much less ready that the previous three years.

Well, he's not getting taken at #1, according to Mary Kay Cabot

Myles Garrett will the #Browns pick at No. 1, multiple league sources say

Don't do it, CLE. Don't spend draft capital to move up for one of these.

Understood.

The thought is that they will trade #12 and move up.

Cleveland should take peterman in round two. They could probably trade 33 and get a firster next year

Cleveland has so many draft picks, they should trade whatever they have to trade to get Cousins, Garappolo, McCarren - someone, anyone, who can step in and play QB.

By the time they find a QB and groom him, they'll be signing massive extensions for their multitude of high draft picks.

That's what dumb teams do. Just wait till the Oakland bill comes due here soon. Add to that picking higher in the draft and that's why teams fall apart after a sniff of success.

in which draft year?

How do you know what the Browns are going to do? All you have to go on is the media's amplification and distortion of stuff leaked by teams and agents designed to get the best outcome for their stakeholders.

:)

The issue for the Browns is that they desperately need a QB. But there probably aren't any franchise QBs in this draft. I see Watson and Tribisky having a Chad Pennington type ceiling. Maybe there is a guy later in the draft that is a very good, but not elite QB like Wilson and Prescott turned out to be. But there are no apparent slam dunks. The bigger issue for the Browns is that they are an absolutely terrible team. They cannot afford to reach for a QB in a draft where there are no clear cut franchise QBs. Take the best player available when you draft. No reason the can't come away with two All-Pro caliber players in round one and wait for next year, hope there is another franchise type QB coming out of college. You know damn well they will be competing for a top three spot again this season.
