Broncos sold to Walmart heir Rob Walton for $4.65 billion

...and a greeter for each line wearing a blue vest who is 87 years old.

Wrong brand, but fitting ... "Welcome to Empower Field at Mile High. I love you."

They already bulldozed the north parking lots for a high-rise. Plans are to do the same with the south lots.Enjoy your tailgates while you still can New England. I hosted my last one at Milehigh in November 2021. They are also talking about a new stadium.
Kroenke is planning on bull dozing ALL the parking lots at Ball Arena where the Nuggets and Avs play for more condos/highrises.
The rich get richer. The rest of us wait in traffic or take a scooter to the game...

And Kraft bought Foxboro Stadium for 45 million, the Patriots for 172 million, constructed Gillette Stadium for 325 million, and then renovated the stadium again for another 225 million...for a combined total of 767 million....16.5% of what the Walton group bought the Broncos for 28 years later.....

Even if you threw in what Kraft probably spent on Patriot Place, the two planes, and other things like the Revolution/eSports teams/the Lobsters tennis team(s)......he still made a hell of a deal in buying the Pats from Orthwein...
I think Krafty Bob is a good owner, but:
a) Let's not ignore the time value of money
b) What if he put it into Google/Tesla/Amazon instead?
c) If he's doing so great, why the trips to the Orchids of Asia?
d) Yeah, he did threaten to move the team to Hartford, but only after Southie told him to pound sand (or worse)

Tailgating was limited at Mile High already.

You had to get there early for a good spot. Its always about the $. Tailgating was cheap beer and grub {not these crappy times were in though.} The price of stadium beer and food is going to bend folks over. I cannot imagine a beer being less than $5.00. Less parking probably means higher costs to park in the spots that are remaining.

Seems like hes doing OK there. His franchise and all the land is worth more than he paid.
b) What if he put it into Google/Tesla/Amazon instead?
He would getting ready to lose his axx with the upcoming crash.
c) If he's doing so great, why the trips to the Orchids of Asia?
He had a coupon for the early bird. Smart shopping saving a few bucks.
d) Yeah, he did threaten to move the team to Hartford, but only after Southie told him to pound sand (or worse)
And Mass buckled. Im glad the stadium is not in Boston.

Come out after the game and find your car up on cinder blocks.

a.) Even accounting for TVM, he still made a good deal.
b.) Yeah...he would be RICHER....but not have 6 Lombardis....I think for a man like Kraft...it doesn't matter if he's worth 5 billion or 3 billion....
c.) That was baffling...the parlor was on the "other side of the town" and offering discounts on that fateful day...but I guess rich guys don't get rich by being big spenders....(shrugs)
d.) I am happy that never happened....and Kraft DIDN'T want to go to Hartford, but Rowland offered him the BEST public funding deal I have ever seen in North America professional sports....if we moved to Hartford...they would still be there RENT free with zero construction $$$ coming from Kraft's pockets. If anything, Rowland got the state house folks to move their arses.....

What is the next franchise to be sold?

New Orleans is owned by benson’s widow. She is in her mid seventies and has said she wants the team sold when she dies.

The bears are owned by Virginia McKaskey and she is 99 now. Although she may have a deal worked out with Ryan, whose name is all over the northwestern Campus.

Paul Allen’s widow owns the Seahawks. Not sure what her plans are, but maybe she would like another 5 billion by selling it.

The weirdest is the chargers. Each spanos kid owns 15 percent and the rest is in a trust that is bankrupt. And one kid is suing another to get the franchise put up for sale. It’s like the New York jets weird!

I'd move into a high rise if Kraft built one next to the stadium.
