Broncos moving Jeudy

Well, with Pop, Bourne, Henry, Gesicki and the Pharoah, the receivers seem to be doing well. The key was the QB delivering the ball on time. If Jeudy was going to be Jefferson or Chase then fine, but no one seems to think that. Who are you going to take off the field?
1) I agree with regard to the receiving targets doing weel; I would add Stevenson.

2) The key has NOT, has NOT been play by the QB. It has been the health of the OL. The tackles cannot be off the field for even ONE series. The backup OG is better than OT Love, but not really very good (yet).

This team has plenty of targets with the 3 TE's all contributing.

Folks make a big deal about the importance of the #4 and #5 WR. We play fine, even when no #3 WR has more than one reception.

I do think that we need a #3 to step up, or perhaps we need to be able to trust a #3. We have Thornton, Parker, Reagor, Shuster and Boutte. It is not clear that any of them are a better alternative than the top 6 targets (2 WR, 3 TE and Stevenson). That's five WR's competing to be the #3 WR in terms of targets. Of the five, Boutte is #5 or perhaps #4 on the depth chart.

Are people still clamoring for a new WR? It seems BB is not moving away from Parker. And our only prayer is JSS stays hurt.
But look at Bourne - WR1. He's on pace for what I predicted him to get this year:
80 / 800 / 8TD

Bourne is a fine WR2. I've been on the "free Kendrick Bourne" bandwagon since last year when Matt "Clueless" Patricia put him in his doghouse for no reason even though he was our best WR the year before.

Pop Douglas should be our other starting WR. Ok maybe he's not a WR1 but he's quick and he makes plays. I feel like he has earned the starts.

As for JSS that move has been a complete disaster. BB is an idiot if he insists that JSS comes back to a starting role. Just leave the offense alone BB and stick to coaching the defense! You hired an OC for a reason, let him cook!

BOB seems to have found a gameplan that fixes many though not all of our offensive issues against Buffalo. Can it continue? The next big test is the Dolphins next week!

You're acting like we have a star studded WR corps that you can't afford to pull off one piece and upgrade it. That's not the case at all. One win against Buffalo doesn't turn these guys into pro bowl threats over night.

The only guy that would make Mac actually look somewhat not total garbage would be his old pal Jaylen Waddle ...unfortunately Miami has zero interest in letting him go anytime soon so Jeudy on his way from a promising career to being a bust is the far lower option.
Waddle was injured most of Mac's last year at AL, so the guy who set records with Mac under center was actually Philly's DeVonte Smith: 1st in single AL game yards / receptions / TDs (274/15/5), 1st single season AL receiving yards 1,856.

....However, I would be happy as a clam with either Waddle or Smith on the Pats

I didn't think this based on one game. Pop is dynamic when in there. Bourne is mostly reliable. Gesicki is underuntilized. Forces the ball sometimes to Henry.

I think Pharaoh Brown is underutilized he brings that excellent Blocking aspect that Gesicki doesn't bring. It's easier to get more creative with Pharoah than Mike the Defense can't sleep on him he's a Beast in the Run game and catches everything he's not one dimensional.

Cripes! You’d think the Broncos were trying to decide whether to sell or keep the “Hope Diamond”! This poor guy must be so tired of reading that he’s goin / he’s stayin, yadayadayada. There’s been more trade rumors tied to this guy than stock trades last month on Wall Street. I’ll bet he can’t wait for Halloween….

As someone with basically the same skinny BMI as DeVonta's, I can't believe he's not only surviving but thriving. I was sooo wrong (so far...) and good for him.

Not disagreeing, I think of Gesicki as a WR. I'm big on The Pharoah.

Listened to sports radio today, first time in a long time and out of the three hosts 2 said as the Oline goes, so goes the team, only one guy said it's all on Mac. It's obvious if Mac feels secure, he takes hit time to go through processions, if he feels rushed, he makes dumb mistakes. The Oline giving him another second and being better in the run game was all the difference in this game. Let's hope it continues so we can see what Mac really has.

Yeah I am kind of thinking this is part of the problem too... He has been dangled as trade bait for a couple years, and the organization has been kind of a dumpster fire. I'm sure it doesn't help matters. His value is probably pretty low at this point, if the Broncos would take a 4th I'd take a gamble on him. I'm less concerned about the cultural concerns because Mac was his former roommate - Mac will make sure he straightens out.

Well a 4th round pick us a lot better that the 2nd & 4th they supposedly turned down during training camp!

Juju is guaranteed for next year as well . 14 million minimum . If we sign Jeudy and he doesn't pan out that's 14 ( juju) + 13( Jeudy ) + 12 million ( Parker) that's dedicated to 3 scrubs.
What else is new. Patriots have had the highest amount of $ in the league on receivers the last few years. Results have been abysmal.

We're #21 in receptions. That's not fine.

Parker (WR) is the top 6th target. 3rd TE only has 5 targets in 7 games.

Looks like anyone on the Broncos is in play for a trade. Surtain lining up across from Gonzalez for the next few years would be tempting, but if the Pats make a trade they need offense not defense.

Sign me up for Gonzalez and Surtain. Worry about the O later. You'd be awful tough to throw on.

That might be a surplus of riches. JC, Jonathan, Jack, Gonzo, Surtain. Maybe we could keep Myles off the field. How about Simmons at safety?

Like Sutton but love J Jeudy's age still in his early prime... with Juju and Parker both sucking I can't think of a better guy.
