This article is worth reading. This guy had a childhood that makes Rasheed Hageman's look like Leave it to Beaver and made himself a college scholarship player and pro prospect after only one year of high school football and two years at a community college with no football by pestering the Florida A&M staff until they made him a walk on.

Guys like this are often either totally messed up or incredibly driven to succeed, but being 6'3" with a 40 time around 4.4 doesn't hurt either.

We always have a WR and RB that flash a game or two in preseason and that's quite possible here. However, what else is preseason for (for me anyway) I love to see those guys come out of nowhere (binkies?) And this is the guy I'm rooting for.

When he was 7 years old, Brian's mother Jada Tyms, hit him in a store and the incident was reported. His half-sister, Alysha Bernett, went to live with a grandparent and Brian began an odyssey that took him to four different group homes.

Tyms was put back into the system again, and this time he was being returned to Florida, where his troubled childhood began.

He played football his senior season and proved to be very coachable. But he wasn't good enough to land a college scholarship. He attended Broward Community College after graduating and eventually walked onto Florida A&M's football team after consistently harassing the coaches for an opportunity.
Tyms' academic standing and his athleticism impressed Rattlers coach Joe Taylor. He immediately became one of the team's hardest workers and soon earned a scholarship.

Apparently will be suspended for 4 games this year. Browns cut him probably because of that...

This HELPS him make the 53 as a does not count against the 53 player stashed in reserve. He can always be cut week 5 if everyone is healthy and Boyce, etc. contributing.

Interesting I would like to see how he performs with Brady Brian Tyms is he same size of A. Dobson.

The league report failed to mention the facts about the violation, which stems from a failed drug test where Mr. Tyms tested positive after taking an Adderall pill.

Having been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyper-active Disorder (ADHD), Mr. Tyms failed the test prior to obtaining a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) from league doctors, which would allow Mr. Tyms to take the prescribed medication without violating the league’s drug policy. After failing the test, Mr. Tyms was subsequently approved for the TUE. Unfortunately, the league does not allow TUE’s to apply retroactively.

Spikes and Bolden fall into this category, I think. apparently, he can take what got him bounced now, but it's still a violation. I'm a little suspicious of the whole deal, but they do prescribe for ADHD all over.

But his 4.48 40 doesn't even tell the whole story, his three cone, shuttle, VJ, BJ are all better than Dobson at (Tyms being) an inch and a half shorter. He's a very impressive physical specimin with a 6.86 three cone at his size.

I look forward to seeing him today and hope he ends up on our PS.

I'm unsure, but my initial and principal guess is because they're the Browns.

He's also a leaper and noted for fade routes, at least as noted as someone with his brief resume could be.

If Tyms shows maturity and ability by getting reps with the 1st team, then I wouldn't be adverse to trading an Amendola or Boyce or Thompkins near the Trade Deadline, after Tyms has returned..

It would be nice to keep him through the suspension if possible, it would be easier to slip him onto the PS after 4 weeks and we could possibly use him oursleves if injuries have hit the WR.

He won't make it to our practice squad a team like Carolina will snatch him right up.
If he keeps playing solid you have to make a tough decision and to me if it's at Bolden or Williams expense so be it.

Tyms will be moved to the Active/Suspended List at Final Cutdowns. Just like Browner. Then they'll both sit 4 games and then the Pats will have decisions to make. That is, of course, unless they decide to just part ways with Tyms prior to that.

Thanks. If we want him that's nice, getting to keep him for 4 weeks before making a decision. A lot can change with injuries in that time.
