Brian Hoyer reminds me...

He reminds me of Drew Brees mostly. Short for an NFL QB, great arm for his size, plays with tons of enthusiasm and energy. I think he'll be solid QB as he gets older. Could be better than Cassel.

12) Hoyer suffers from a nasty case of premature baldness.

Y A Title like or is it like Matt Hasselback, or does he just favor a baldino haircut??

Nope, he had balding problems coming out of high school when he signed with Michigan State.

I said Gannon with my first guess. This time I went and looked at the MVP list and the only name I saw that it could be since I started watching football, mid 70's, is Bert Jones.

The best thing I can possibly say about Hoyer is that should Brady ever go down again, I wouldn't be too worried.

I think he's potentially the best back-up we've had in the Belichick era.

But Hoyer is not a self-satisfied obnoxious twit like Jones

True but size wise, ability to scramble but not known for it and the way they throw...I can see it.

There was a player who wore #12 that used to back up Bledsoe, don't know what happened to him though

Can we just have the answer please?

Wow - I sure didn't remember Brian Sipe winning the MVP - he's not a comparison I would have thought of, but probably the closest of that MVP group.

I have never seen Hoyer play.

But in the spirit of a true contributer I"ll go with

Joe Theisman!

who ever said bert jones never saw bert jones. that guy could throw the ball thru a brick wall. maybe the biggest arm ever, in the nfl.

unfortunately, hoyer reminds me of sanchez.

Brian Hoyer is plays like Brian Hoyer.

At first I thought Boomer Esiason but he is much taller at 6'5". Phil Simms won the SB MVP. If that counts I"ll go with Phil.

I think his at best upside is late career Chad Pennington. His arm is weaker than Cassels was. At some point, you need to make those 15 yard outs and Hoyer will never make them consistently.
