Dawkins will visit Broncos
Posted: February 27th, 2009 | Adam Schefter | Tags: Brian Dawkins, Denver Broncos, Free Agency 2009

Safety Brian Dawkins is on his way to Denver for a visit. Dawkins has played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Eagles. The Broncos ranked 29th in the NFL in total defense in 2009.

He'd be nice to have, a badass Safety with an attitude that can hit. Those have worked out here....

Re: OT: Brian Dawkins to visit Broncos

Denver has the money and the greater need.

Surprise, Surprise...the Eagles MB has IMPLODED over this news!

With all due respect-McNabb/Reid may be the face of the Eagles franchise, but the heart and soul of it is without a doubt Dawkins. Philly may have a very fine system and have rolled along just fine when some of their better players left, but you just can't replace the heart, passion, and fire of a Brian Dawkins.

These Broncos signings have directly addressed their areas of need. Now they can draft a talented LB or DL with a high 1st round pick. Look for the Broncos to be the team to beat for the next several years. Too bad the Pats had to help them out. JM is doing an outstanding job so far. We can only hope that BB has a few tricks up his sleeve for this offseason.
