Brandon Lloyd a Patriot according to Wikipedia

Brandon Lloyd - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brandon Matthew Lloyd (born July 5, 1981) is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Illinois.

Tully Banta Cain also signed a 5 year $50 million contract with the Pats a couple months ago according to wiki. I even made a thread about it lol.

Well, TBC posted that himself. He heard everything posted on Wikipedia is true and he figured if he posted that, the Pats would have to pay him.

The debate is still raging as to what is more reliable in breaking sports news: Wikipedia or Robe Lowe

ZOMG! Welcome back, TBC!!!

I'm surprised Pro Football Talk didn't pick up the story, they seem to run anything.

Schefter says between 49ers and Pats, most likely.

Has there been a confirmed sighting of Brandon Lloyd in the last 48 hours?

His visit with the 49ers yesterday was confirmed. Not an actual sighting, but we know he was in SF.

Boston globe said pats are still working on bringing lloyd into the mix

Alex Smith or Tom Brady, who do I want to play with? I just can't decide.
Josh McDaniels offense in which I have thrived or someone else's where I hold JAG status. It makes perfect sense.

I need another tweet from Greg Bedard on this issue!

well, the 49ers are also working out manningham, so maybe we see a decision after they meet??

either way, I dont see where Lloyd fits on the 49ers...he was a JAG there, and his skillset is pretty redundant with Moss on the roster.

I think theres alot of negotiating posturing going on..

Tom Condon: "Show me the money!"

Can't see the money if no one is offering the money. The Pats have players who are represented by CAA and Condon has clients who don't get big bucks. We only know about his big named QB clients who get big bucks.

It may come down to a game of chicken, contractually speaking.

WalterFootball.com: 2012 NFL Free Agents - Wide Receivers

Lloyd will probably come into the fold soon, but the only worrisome thing is FA WR is filled with JAGS at this point. (excluding Lloyd and Manningham).

It would suck to have to rely on a rookie to be our #2 WR or worse have ancient Deion/JAG there again.
