So now... what?

...edited because I finally found the Roberta Flack version. Hey, I'm OLD!

He had a great game yesterday, but he still not a third down back. One great game doesn't erase all the blown opportunities this team lost because the Pats decided to use Bolden as the third down back and tried to put the ball in his hands on critical third downs.

I'm ok with him on wheel routes only. Not wasted plays up the middle for zero or negative yards like I saw yesterday

Nothing changes. He can (sort of) pass protect, and catch screens, but he should still never get the ball between the tackles. EVER!
Also - it was his blown protection when Mac got sacked in his first step back to handoff.

How could it have been BOLDEN'S blown protection that got Mac sacked in his first step back to handoff? Please explain how Bolden is supposed to take the handoff while also protecting Mac from getting sacked by the rushing DT?

Love Bolden. Cheap, smart ST player who can catch the ball and block. He isn’t strong on the run.

His new name is “Let’s Go Brandon!”

I still think Harris and Rham could easily do what he does if given the chance.

I think the hate was more for McDaniels than Bolden.

It's like people blaming the gun for killing someone. Bolden is the gun. McDaniels was the one pulling the trigger on that gun.

The visual of this analogy is sounding somewhat homoerotic.

Brandon the beloved special teamer with the SB rings is great.

Why the offense suddenly relies on him so heavily late in games doesn't make sense to me. Not yesterday up 30, but during the Bucs and Dallas game with the game on the line ??

because James White is on the IR, and no one else is set to become a pass catching back to replace him

More to the point, Bolden is the nearest thing we have to a 3rd down back.

Sometimes, when Im really scared or anxious

I think of 3rd and short with Bolden as the feature back

So I get better, bc theres obviously much scarier things out there

Still kinda sucks as a runner, especially up the middle, so...

Let's see how he fares vs a Real Team on the Road.

Brady, Gronk et al mght be the "faces of the franchise," but guys like Bolden are the heart of it. I'm sure Bill (between the glares and snorts) would tell you that.

As long as the blocking is there all the backs are capable running or catching, where Bolden separates himself from the rookies is blocking.

Stevenson missed a block in Week 6 that led to a sack and was made inactive against the Jets.

In hindsight fan takes that Sony Michel was average or a waste of a first pick were silly when he was still here. He understood complex blocking concepts directly out of college and could play immediately.

Fans often think this is fantasy football, RB’s only run and TE’s only catch… blocking be damned. When you have a 41 year old QB having a RB who can block is crucial, fantasy football is not real football.
