If you want to discuss a different record, consecutive wins by a starting quarterback at home, including the postseason,

I am guessing that this record belongs to Tom as well:

4-0 at home at the end of 2006 (1 playoff)
10-0 at home in 2007 (perfect, 2 playoff wins)
1-0 at home to begin 2009

= 15 consecutive overall home wins

****

edit...

Brett Favre actually does own this record:
Most Consecutive Home Wins, Regular Season and Post-Season, by a Starting Quarterback, 29, Brett Favre, Green Bay Packers, 1995–1998

my apologies

Oh great--now I'm depressed the Pats didn't beat the Ravens.

But what I wanted to say was, although this wasn't worthy of a thread, regular season streaks that were broken in the playoffs have always sort of grated (as opposed to TD records or whatever.) The Pats did recently get clobbered at home, so I could care less about the streak.

WR: Deion Branch
WR: Wes Welker
WR: Brandon Tate
TE: Aaron Hernandez
TE: Rob Gronkowski
RB: Danny Woodhead
RB: Ben-Jarvus Green-Ellis

None of these guys played in the playoffs against the Ravens last season.

Safe to say the offense is a bit different now.

The pundits are not reciting your valid points, they are primarily stating (premise: advantage of Home Field Advantage) that Brady has not lost since 2006 at home, without mentioning that he lost in home playoff game last Jan.

You're right.

They're over emphasizing home field advantage for NE

I thought Brady had a better record from 2002 to 2005.
1-0 last game of 2002
8-0 in 2003 regular season
2-0 playoffs in 2003
8-0 in 2004 regular season
2-0 playoffs in 2004
1-0 in 2005
total 22 home victories including post season
