Brady vs. Ben - Legendary Rivalry Resumes

Nice try, Ben winning this game isn’t closing the gap anytime soon. So far Ben vs Brady is like Charlie Brown trying to kick a football that Lucy is holding. The outcome has been pretty much consistent throughout the years.

Small margin? Ha ha ha!

Yet another epic clash between these two all-time top 15 quarterbacks is just days away.

This week, Big Ben took part in what could be considered trash talk against his counterpart, when he boldly declared that he looked forward to outplaying Tom. “Man, any time you can share the field with maybe the greatest of all time you should cherish it and value it,” Roethlisberger said Wednesday. “And try to out-play him."

This quite possibly reveals what could be some underlying bad blood between the two legends, which may manifest itself in some way during, or possibly after, Sunday's highly anticipated meeting between these two AFC powerhouses.

Regarding the actual on the field matchup, it is interesting to note that Ben is statistically dominant over his rival this season, and by a healthy margin.

Ben:
4,227 yds, 28 tds, 67.0 completion %

Tom:
3,700 yds, 23 tds, 65.6 completion %

Will this lopsided comparison have any bearing on Sunday's important matchup? That remains to be seen. But this game could go a long way in ultimately determining who will go down in the NFL annals as the better quarterback. A Steelers win led by a dominant Ben performance could propel them to a late season surge leading all the way to a Super Bowl title, which would be the third for the much younger Ben - only two behind a rapidly aging Brady.

So again, the ramifications of this game could be vital in the ultimate determination of who will go down as the better QB, historically.

Get any on you?

Steelers fans need to debate Ben vs. Bradshaw, because he's nowhere NEAR TB12
