Totally agree. Other than occasionally tripping over his own feet I love the guy.

In a weird way I kind of like that about him. He either falls down or gets a first down. Haha F^2.

But really a fun, gritty and exciting player to watch. Felt kind of the same way with Blount.

Also, at 3:22 here, Patterson is on an end around, but yells at Brady before the handoff that Edelman is open, and Tom promptly turns downfield and completes about a 20 yard pass to Hogan. (I assume that the play is designed in the playbook with Jules in mind, hence Cordarelle's confusion). The intriciaties that make a difference...

I don't think there was any confusion. I think it's designed for Patterson to make the decision on whether or not to take the handoff.. He either takes it or let's Brady know about the receiver.

Yes, that's what I was getting at. The confusion I alluded to is that it's Hogan on the play, whereas Patterson yells "Edelman's open". So what I was, perhaps clumsily, trying to articulate is that it's probably a play designed specifically with Edelman in mind, but for whatever reason Hogan was in instead of him, rather than it being a case of Patterson not being able to tell the two apart.

I've heard of him doing that before. I don't remember which back it was, but he said that Brady would send him out during a play. "Ok, ___________, go!"
Dion. There's a mic'd up for that somewhere.

"Go Dion"

I think I rewinded that play now 10x and still can't figure out when CP glances downfield (or who he is reading) to let Brady know about the open player. Some good stuff..
