Bodden and Dowling Out

This is a critical game for the Pats, they rarely find themselves in a situation like this. But now, panic starts to kick on in.

You mean with a banged-up secondary?

Good point -- I don't recall that ever happening before.

this sux

we lost to BUFF b/c our quality Depth and starters were out this game looks bad
i'm scared

we have no new injuries from last weeks game and are essentially going into tomorrow with the same lineup as last week + chung. the raiders and bills played an even game, and we dominated the bills until the turnovers happened. as long as we don't make mistakes we have a shot.

If the Raiders are going to play 6 defensive backs that sounds like a nice recipe to control the clock and run the ball with Green-Ellis, Woodhead & Ridley assuming the Patriots control the line of scrimmage. That also keeps McHomerun off the field.

Like the Jets showed last year in playoffs the raiders will let you run it all you want because your not beating them with the run. The more you take it out of Brady hands the more your playing into raiders hands.

the real question I wonder if THE PRICE IS RIGHT??? ( i mean ready to go)

edit- Can Price play DB??? I thought he could??? call mev crazy, but we are short

Raiders arn't that good against the run

for our raider fan:

McFadden vs the Jets - 19 carries 170 yards.

4 of those carries were for 120 yards. so the remaining 15 carries were for only 50 yards.

The Patriots didn't use the run nearly enough against the Jets in the playoffs last season. The lack of offensive balance was the Patriots undoing.

It seems rather obvious now that you're trolling under the pretense of a match-up.

Confident enough to win this game. We have Tom Brady he alone can change the course of the game. He will put 30+ and will rebound from last game as for the guys injured as long as they're ready to go against the jets

He was a DB at Hilliard Darby HS...

It makes me wonder when our secondary is going to get healthy. Let's hope we have both Bodden and Dowling next week with Plexico and Keller coming to town.

Here we go again....

Maybe we will discover the Tom Brady of the D..you know, a guy who had to step in for an injured player and ends up being the best ever

Well...at this rate somebody's gotta stick right?

Lmao It so silly Im not even waste my time explaining this one as your obviously joking.

Now the real problem becomes if you were being serious about this.

Is this team ever going to get healthy this season? My goodness.

Most of the injuries happened on the turf at Gillette. It is now as bad as the old turf but it still is nasty. Some of those injuries (Ras-I?) seemed like non-contact--a sure sign of turf problems.

So the nickel back is who, Anguan Molden?

Last week we found that this team is not (at least not yet) better off w/o Sanders/Merri. This week I guess we'll get to see if we're really better off w/o Butler/Wilhite. I know they were both very maligned but I'd honestly feel better with either over whoever this guy is. Then again the Raiders really aren't that deep at WR are they

Dowling has ben hurt since High School, does this really suprise anyone?????

The guy played 2 games last year, he is literally "made of glass" and the Pats wasted the 33 pick in the draft on him.........

I love the name Glass IR Dowling for him but I for one am far, far from concluding he can't be a player

The good news is that maybe this forces the Patriots to play more of a zone since they are getting torched man to man.

Bodden is a bit of a concern, he appears to have lost a step after his surgery, maybe it is age or conditioning.

Chung is the key to the secondary because of his flexibility (FS, SS, slot CB, LB in dime, etc.)
