So before the game, I made a poll that said "Would you want to win in a blowout or a close/great game?".

I originally voted that I wanted the blowout and coronation of Tom.

I take it back. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Congrats boys!

Had this same thought last night. All week leading up I was sure that the best possible outcome was a blowout. I didn't even consider something this ridiculous happening.

What a perfect ending to the game. The Comeback Kid does it again, what a time to be alive. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Yeah this was better than a blowout. Not because it was close but because of the incredible comeback.

I guess there were 2 blowouts; 1 in the 1st half and 1 in the 2nd.
That's why I actually I argue that the game wasn't the best ever, the comeback was amazing but it required the patriots to get stomped for the first two and a half quarters. Up until when the patriots started scoring then game was dull

As godawful stressful as this game was on me and as muuuch as I wanted to see a blowout in the Patriots favor, I've got to say, I would have this game end no other way...

Coming 25 points from behind cemented Brady's legacy so much more than a blowout would have to say nothing (okay a little) of how it must have been a thousand times more painful to all the Patriot/Brady haters out there.

Ok so just some stats to just show how much of a blowout this was in the second half:

* This is the time of possession minus kickoffs and punts
# The reason why these two numbers are different is because there was 1 penalty on the N.E. defense for holding on Malcolm Butler for 3 yards

The defense was absolutely incredible!!!!!!

well obviously the way it turned out was better than a blowout but man i lost years of my life from the stress lol

Well I guess the next Superbowl (Hopefully Next Year) the Pats are in we finally get a blowout win

The problem with a blowout is that there isn't a certain time when you can really celebrate. Sure when the clock hits 00:00 but at that point it's almost anti climatic.

With SB 49 and this one, they both had that moment of absolutely giddiness.

In a way, though, it was a double blowout and one pretty close game.

The Falcons destroyed us 21-3 in the first half, we destroyed them 25-7 in the second, and we capped it with a 6-0 nail-biter.
