Bill Polian: "We had a 1st round grade on Brady"

Of course we know that while he had the QB1 position as settled as any team in the league, Belichick still used 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round draft picks over the years on QBs. When called upon, backup QBs went 11-5 in 2009, and 3-1 in 2016.

If Polian's kids ever decide to declare him incompetent and toss him in a home, he's giving them plenty of material.

We're probably 6 months away from him declaring that he knew for sure that New Orleans was going to onside kick at the start of the second half in the SB, but no one would listen to him.

And how does this make Polian relevant because I'm not feeling it.

He actually had a pretty decent draft but hes still completely full of **** Screen Shot 2017-03-07 at 2.51.45 PM.png

Brady's scouting report: "Poor build, Skinny, Lacks great physical stature and strength, Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush, Lacks a really strong arm, Can’t drive the ball downfield, Does not throw a really tight spiral, System-type player who can get exposed if forced to ad lib, Gets knocked down easily"

guess it would have been too much competition for PM for the Dolts to draft Tom

Before we simply rationalize and say "well they had Peyton Manning" recall that the Patriots had a number one overall quarterback of their own in Drew Bledsoe.

Bledsoe threw for 3985 yards to Manning's 4135 in 1999. They were about to make Bledsoe the highest paid player in the NFL.

Had the Colts seen "first round value" they would have had just as much reason to take him in the fifth or sixth as the Patriots.

Yeah so what, The Patriots had a higher grade on Brady too than where they drafted him. They just had too many holes going into 2000 season.

This is another guy whose threads I wouldn't miss if we stopped posting them. F-ck him.

"We had a 1st round grade on him so naturally we waited 199 picks for him to go to another team" - Bill Polian

In other news, Bill Polian claims that he knew Bill Belichick would be the greatest coach ever and wanted to hire him before Kraft did but he already had Jim Mora so he wasn't in the HC market.

Me too.
