Damn Sup, you gettin ornery these days. You been hanging around Joker? ((Keep up the good work ))

I've had quite enough of having to try and stomach these morons like Marshall Faulk, Hines Ward, and Bill Polian who can't seem to give credit where credit is due, and instead choose to resort to making up excuses as to why their teams/former teams were outplayed.

SiriusXM NFL Radio ?@SiriusXMNFL 20m
Bill Polian's biggest takeaway from NE DEN? "Some players on DEN were not ready for prime-time and some of the worst officiating I've seen"

anyone hear the audio about "worst officiating" nonsense his is referring to ?

Not ready for prime time... was he talking about Manning? Because he never is!

but he had no trouble with the end of the carolina or jets game ? what a phony.

Well said. And it sucks too because it makes finding good NFL TV banter even more difficult. I not only enjoy watching NFL games but I look forward to/enjoy a bit of the TV show/Radio banter that goes with it. Unfortunately the enjoyment of that banter is frequently diluted by too many Polians and others -- some of which you listed -- who are incapable of, at minimum, giving decently thought out statements regarding why they are down on the Patriots (a talking head being down on the Patriots certainly doesn't disqualify them from being a good talking head).

You know even with it being totally expected from Ahole Polian, it still is surprising to hear it when he sometimes opens his piehole. I can't reconcile how embarrassingly ignorant he can sound/appear yet he has fame and reputation from being a highly successful NFL executive. Sure, I can see that being possible with some of the A list players that are brought into the media banter game. But someone who is overemotional in thought, incapable of keeping visceral reactions in check, erroneous in their statements is also a highly successful team executive??? His success just had to have been more about luck than anything or maybe he is the textbook definition of an idiot savant. I just don't see any, at face value, explanation for his success. 'Worst officiating I have seen in a long time'? Wow, even a run of the mill, part time NFL watcher could see that the Patriots-Denver game wasn't even the worst officiating seen this weekend!

I try to take it all in stride. The hate is there because we've been winning and winning for a long time. Every team in the AFC (with possible exception of the Shanahan Bronco's) felt they needed to overcome the Patriots to be successful. Let's face it, they cheer every Patriot loss and that says alot.
  • Obviously the colts did this in 2006, but it took a bad call and the flu to put the Pats under.
  • The Ravens can feel vindicated that they beat us and won the SB (straight-up, no excuses for a gronkless pats)
  • The Steelers avoided the Patriots on their 2 SB runs (I believe) and while they are successful, they still have their demons.
  • The Jets take us out of the playoffs once, but couldn't seal the deal 2 years in a row. They broke their cap for 2 good years and have been facing the music ever since.
  • San Diego. They should hate their coaches more than our team, but they've been stopped by the Patriots enough to hurt.
  • The Bills/Dolphins have been looking uphill since Brady/BB took over (not that they've had near SB runs). Their fan bases will collectively cheer the day either of them retires.

The worst part about Marshall is he could actually be a really good analyst if not for his huge arrogance and grudges. He just comes off as so smarmy that even without the Patriot's hate I can't stomach him.

However when he actually talks about the game it's clear he really gets it and wasn't just an athletic freak. They did this segment about RBs and how you need chemistry to work with your line. He talked about using leverage as a back not only your own but the leverage of your linemen and they did it on the mini field in studio as a visual aid.

It was a tremendous segment and one that Ladanian could never do. Ladanian is a useless commentator. I got more out of that one segment than I normally do from a week's worth of Sapp and company yucking it up.

Marshall was talking about the NE\CAR game and he was at the game and said that he saw trap after trap that that Belichick set for Newton in the secondary while watching the game and said the game plan was excellent but Newton unlike a lot of other young QBs simply didn't fall for the traps. I love insight like that and wish there was more of it.

If only he could put the past behind him but that won't happen. Such a waste.

Let me think. Just what do all these losers have in common?

My god the irony here...
