Saw this on PFT this morning and went to the original source.
USA TODAY Sports NFL agent poll: Redskins, Bruce Allen get low marks on preparedness, trust
Key findings:
- Belichick was ranked #2 among agents as the "most respected" executives to work with (behind Ozzie Newsome #1) and the Patriots were ranked the #3 "most prepared" team when it comes to negotiations
- No big surprises for the "least trustworthy" - Bruce Allen, Mike Tannenbaum, John Elway, Mike Brown
- The "least prepared" for negotiations reads like a who's-who of bad franchises
- Agents dislike union chief DeMaurice Smith
This partly explains why the Pats are able to get so many of the top undrafted free agents each year, as agents will be more likely to steer someone with a choice towards someone they trust.
