For some reason Garoppolo's reaction to him cracked me up:

“Coach Belichick hit me with ‘Foxborough High School has been getting snaps right all year,’” Jimmy Garoppolo said. “You feel terrible. Because you realize, Wow, it’s true.”

He just makes it sound like it's such a revelation to him. So funny.

Im trying to think of another all-time great coach in any sport who was less understood than BB. Hes never been a yeller. Hes never been a "disciplinarian" just for the sake of being a disciplinarian.(ala coughlin). And hes always been funny. We dont get to see most of it like players, but anyone whos watched enough BB press conferences kows what im talkin about. If not, those are people with underdeveloped senses of humor.

Man, I would have loved to have BB as a coach or a boss. He never plays favorites, treats everyone the same. He holds himself as accountable, if not more, than he does his players. Mostly-he puts you in a position to maximize your talent-and to win.

I remember when Willie McG first started at nfl network, shortly after he retired. They were all asking him tell us something about BB that most of us dont know. Willie said he was one of the funniest people hes ever been around. Most of the other analysts were looking at Willie like he was an alien. We've heard the same thing over and over from explayers like Bru, Troy Brown et al.
