Bill’s first offer…

You can believe whatever you want to believe. I will believe what I saw and that is Bill couldn't get a job.
Because BB did not want a job right now.
BB has been the coach here the last few years and we have been undisciplined, stupid, and sloppy.
When did Pats players go to the others teams bench pregame to stir up trouble? When did a NE WR stand over a DB and get a taunting call?

Meyers (the same dope that felt disrespected) was undisciplined when he threw the ball back to Corky in the Raiders loss.
Not sure what you have been watching.
I've been watching a team not coached by a players coach.

You moved the goal posts. Now, you're including 50 yo HCs. Lol

Yes, most of the 60+ HCs that won a SB happened recently. That's mainly because 3 of them won 7 SBs (Belichick, Reid, Coughlin). Coincidentaly (or not), Brady (5) & Mahomes (2) appeared in those SBs.

Nevertheless, the only HC that won a SB in his 60s that remains in the league is Reid.

Here are the '25 SB odds w/ HC (age):

49ers +450 (45)
Chiefs +750 (66)
Ravens +900 (62)
Lions +1200 (48)
Bills +1200 (50)
Cowboys +1500 (61)
Bengals +1500 (41)
Eagles +1700 (43)
Dolphins +2000 (41)
Texans +2500 (40)
Packers +2500 (45)

It's quite possible that Reid continues to win SBs w/ Mahomes like Belichick did w/ Brady. However, this discussion began over teams hiring younger coaches over Belichick. The trend has been for teams to hire younger coaches. Belichick will be 73 during the 2025 season. He's no longer in his 60s. No HC has ever won a SB or Championship in the 100+ years of the NFL. I think teams know this.
No problem. Stick with 60 and older.

Which is a 45% chance and thats like flipping a coin.

BB will be the NY Giants next HC unless Daboll lights it up in 2024 which I cannot see materializing.

Dan Jones is another Bum.

I listened to the clip.

"I was told yesterday, and I believe it from the source I got it from that supposedly Arthur Blank bought in to Belichick and could have offered him a job"

Not exactly the same thing as what the tweet said that Bill was offered a job. Media clickbait doing what media clickbait does.

You sound like a BB hater who was celebrating the idea that "nobody wanted BB," only to find out he had a choice whether to take a bad job or not, and decided to wait for a better one.

The truth sucks for you. Laughable...

Sounds like gossip.

This Woozy.

That's not what the clip said. It was thirdhand speculation that he could have offered him a job. Nothing more than that.

No reason at this point to think his HC days are anything but over.

Pretending you know what every owner in the NFL did this offseason, or assuming they hate BB as much as you do is gossip.

Listening to Boomer tell a second hand account from an NFL executive is simply that.

BB interviewed with Arthur Blank twice, that's an inconvenient truth for you.

If you weren't an avowed BB hater, this would be a real conversation. Third hand... that's worse than second hand right... god, you're so transparent you're invisible.

Joe Gibbs left the NFL, won some championships in Nascar and came back to the NFL... twice.

That you think there won't be a market for BB next offseason just shows what delusional hate can do to reason.

Joe Gibbs retired at age 52 after winning a playoff game and losing 20-13 vs the 49ers. He won the superbowl the year prior.

When he came back to the league he was 64.

Belicheck hasn't been to the playoffs in 3 years and lost that game by the most embarrassing defensive performance in playoff history. He will also be 73, so assuming teams would be all over that is laughable.

It's not hatred of BB, it's being realistic. On the other hand it's delusional thinking BB is some highly coveted HC that every team still wants.

If Bill was still in his early 60s he would have a job right now

"Avowed" ok. Lol

Boomer heard this from an executive who heard a source that Blank COULD HAVE offered him a job. That's called third hand information, and speculation at best.

Also Gibbs was 64 years old when he returned to the league not 73 like Bill will be. Gibbs was an offensive mastermind who innovated the game on that side of the ball. He also has a good track record of success with different QB's and didn't completely botch the offense and his young QB like BB just did which led to the Krafts firing him. Apples and oranges.

I wouldn't hold my breath there will be a robust market for a 73 year old head coach who wants football ops control of an organization.

Nothing to do with "hate" and there's none anyway.

I agree. If Bill was 62 instead of 72 he would have a job. Most rebuilds take about 3 years if you nail almost everything and could be endless if you miss on some key spots. If Bill were to nail a draft/free agency which he hasn't done in a very long time his team wouldn't be really competing for a Super Bowl until he's 75.

BB was in the playoffs in 2021 with a rookie QB, you’re wrong… start there. He played in four Super Bowls and won 3 rings from 2014-2018. Something no active coach besides Andy Reid has come close to.

You and other BB hater’s fever dream that he can’t find a job and nobody wants him is exactly that… fantasy based on your hatred.

BB is in good physical shape, he doesn’t have a job because there wasn’t an opportunity that matched his expectations.

Sure… no hate. Just you and the boys celebrating BB’s unemployment for 31 pages. Laughable.

He’ll have a job next season unless he retires outright, book it now.

Last time Bill was in the playoffs he was 69 and had the worse playoff loss of his career. Last time he won a SB, he was 66 yo. His SB run between 2014-2018 he was in his mid 60s, same as Reid is now, both w/ elite QBs.

You and other BB hater’s fever dream that he can’t find a job and nobody wants him is exactly that… fantasy based on your hatred.
Nonsense. People are relaying facts. Bill didn't find a job amongst 7 teams. These teams chose 2 HCs in their late 30s, 3 in their 40s, 1 in his 50s and a 60 yo. There were 5 of 8 HCs with Defensive backgrounds. Most of these teams didn't even consider Bill, aside from a quick Go/No Go assessment.

It sounds like the only posters w/ fantasies are you and @upstater1, who insist on re-writing history to justify your terrible takes and bouts w/ delusions.

True but the trend in the NFL with HC hires isn't in his favor. That's not to say there won't be a team that risks hiring a 73 yo HC a year removed from the game in '25. Unfortunately, NFL history doesn't support success for a 73 yo HC.

It is what it is. I'm sure we'll have this same discussion next year. My money is on Bill signing a multi-year contract w/ a Network.

In the meantime, there's plenty to discuss w/ the Patriots coaching staff, free agency, draft, etc. Bill is no longer a Patriot.

You're right, he expected an offer and didn't get one lol

Stop answering for other people, especially when they've said something factually inaccurate.

Also coaches aren't players, they don't have an expiration date.

You clowns have been celebrating for the last two weeks that nobody wanted BB, now it comes out he turned down the Falcons. Again... deluded.

Two teams were in on Tom Brady in 2020 after you ballwashers were telling us all offseason that half the league would be interested. The free market determines everything, not your level of delusion.

You're right, he expected an offer and didn't get one lol
He didn't get a good offer, he's filthy rich, he's not desperate and can wait for a good one.
