Bill’s first offer…

Who cares? Playing a parlor game about some other team hiring a 72-year-old coach so he can get a few wins to set a personal record is about as short-sighted as it gets. All it does is feed a media story that will always wind up beings a story of a coach who was part of a 20-year dynasty someplace else.

If any of us owned another franchise would we seriously consider paying a guy like Belichick $20+ million for a chance to help him set a record. or would we invest in our franchise by paying a coach with 21st Century thinking? Would we acquiesce to Belichick's need to control the draft that could set back our franchise because he drafts defensive players to fit his idea of a good team?

Do any of you people have a few billion lying around so we could buy a team and hire Belichick to work for us? That could be fun.

They can do it by interviewing coaches that aren’t under contract, or college coaches.

Dallas could actually be in play.
Dallas, Atlanta, Philly

Harbaugh is going to play a big factor in San Diego and Dallas I bet

I could see Jones hiring him to try to get them a Lombardi. There is no coach more dangerous than Belichick in the tournament.

Mccarthy is going to be out regardless...

Nobody gives a crap about the regular season... as long as you make the playoffs.

Could you imagine Jerry Jones giving Bill the keys?

It's desperation from Jones at this point.

This post season coaching changes are going to be crazy.

Give up the 3rd OA for Love. He seems legit.

And I wouldn't be stunned to see Bill in Dallas by the 22nd.

<phone rings><please leave your message after the beep><BEEP>

Hi Bill, it’s Woody.

Hey, sorry to hear Robert got so impatient.

I want to assure you we’re not like that here.

We’re very patient, in fact we’re still waiting.

Well not all of us, Tuna moved on. But otherwise nothing has changed.

So whatever you want, just say the word and you’ve got it.

We’ll even buy you a new boat every year so you don’t have to keep changing the name.

Send us the draft of your contract and we’ll schedule the announcement.

Just one thing, no napkins at that announcement, okay?

From the looks of things today. I think the Cowboys will become a dest for Bill. Getting blown out at home, another early play off exit. Yeah.. this team is literally a coach away.

My fear is that the Krafts go all Dan Snyder and draft all the flashy players and spend too much on big name diva FAs to prove that it was BB who did not want to bring in top talent and spend over the cap. For all the potential of having a high draft choice and a lot of cap room, this could easily go the wrong direction. Especially with a young HC who has never had to build a team and hold the players accountable on the field.
If they want to impress fans, go out and get Higgins. If he’s not tagged , Pretty sure most of us won’t complain.

I have always rooted against the Cowboys, but I would root for them to win a Lombardi with Belichick. He’s the GOAT coach, and I would love to see him go out on a high note.
I realized about midway through the third quarter how conflicted I should be. I absolutely *hate* the Cowboys. But if they hire Belichick I’ll be rooting for him to show he’s still as good as ever by landing his next Lombardi next year.

Now I’m hoping the Eagles choke as badly as the ‘Boys just did, fire Sirianni and hire Belichick. That will save me from rooting for Dallas. Here’s hoping the Bucs have a big night tomorrow night.

I see stupid ass mac 10 showtime is still lurking the board. Thought he was banned for being a pathetic imposter?

Belichick has ruined many bets and playoff predictions for me...

I have enough respect for his coaching to be happy to see him succeed again... I felt the same for Brady... but I'd like to see Bill poke one more Lombardi back at Brady and then retire...

Just to quiet the debate.

Both were amazing together. A true team, in a team sport.

Bill could pull it off... is he chasing championships or Shula...

He already has the rings.

I think BB gets to coach Parson's next year after all. He wanted him.

If I was a billionaire I'd hope I had enough people around me to tell me that this newfangled offense thing you all believe exists is just nothing but baloney and PR.

The idea that Belichick WANTS a dysfunctional offense is absurd. Maybe if management wasn't forcing the selection of Mac Jones and sending Jakobi on his way, the offense would've been marginally better.

The reason the Phins' offense has looked so inept wasn't only because of the cold weather. They've been solved. By Buffalo especially. It's Mike Martz's offense dressed up with RPOs and motion.

Belichick arriving at DFW airport 10 days from now.
Actually saw him at Logan and it looked like he was going to Texas. Proof below: He was dropping off his rental car.
