In my opinion trading Deion to the Jets for a draft pick-whether it is a second round or first round pick is better than dealing with seattle-unless Seattle deals us a #1 - Even though the Jets are a division opponent I would think that they will be at least 8 games worse than the Seahawks will be by the time the regular season ends - (my predicted records of these teams -Seahawks 12-4 Jets 4-12) - Thus we can get one of the top 6 picks instead of a lower one regardless what round we get in trade....After all most of us think Deion is an above average receiver but NOT an ELITE one so to think that dealing him to the Jets turns their fortunes around anytime sooner than 3 years (which I think it would take that team to do so) is a bit foolish and won't make a difference of final score or season win total-after all he is no QB nor a gamebreaker for at least most games I have seen him in (when he is not injured-that is) - Bottom line is Tom Brady has made Givens and Deion what they are today...above average receivers-not elite ones..What will they be without him throwing the ball? - The Titans & Seahawks/Jets will soon see that neither guy makes that much of a difference in the season-Personally I think it has gone way too far and way too many bad feelings between the parties to get Deion back on this team and in my opinion,it really won't cost us any games-Brady will get it done no matter who is out there-as long as the WR or TE we have get the routes done right. I think 11-5 sounds like our season total record-with or without a top WR.....

+1, agreed.

Stick the Jets with $7 mill on their cap for a receiver who can't make plays because his QB has a noodle arm. By the time the Jets get a decent QB, Branch will be an old fogie.

Except we'd be actually getting Washington's 2nd round pick, not the Jets'. But I would also rather see him go to the Jets. Seattle could be a SB opponent if we make it there.

Are you people insane? Saddle the jets with 7 million.....Seattle might be in the SB.....The jets don't have a QB. Absolute insanity! First, we aren't doing anything to the Jets because of 7 million dollars. The cap thing would be some years off minor couple million dollars in less cap space thing (we offered him 6 remember?). Second, Seattle might what? Talk about living off in space. 'well Seattle could get to the SB and we might be there so it might help them and hurt us'. What??? The odds of both the Patriots and the Hawks playing in the SB are how long? Guess what the odds are of playing the Jets twice this year? And next year? And next? 100%! And guess how much just 2 games could affect our ability to make it to the playoffs much less the SB? A lot. Third, the Jets at any time can have a QB. Who knows what the guy behind the first guy can do. Further, guess what the first guy can do when he has a better receiver? You don't help your division rival unless the price makes it worth so. PERIOD. To everyone going 'take the Jets #2'? You think BB didn't even explore what the Jets would give for no reason? Our #1 WR, a proven very solid WR, big game producer, send him to our division opponent for a #2? Seems like a great idea if making 2 games this year harder to win and making the division race harder by strengthening your opponent is the plan ......

Well said I do not think a trade to the jets is good especially for a second if we get there first that’s a different story.

NO Way!

We will get to see the little bastard 2X every year. I would rather send him packing to Seattle, who we may or may not see in the SB. And we play in the reg season once every 4 years.

I really don't want to see or hear of him again once we get rid of him.

Aaah. There's the voice of reason. Thank you.
