I don't know much about Rex but seems like a Pats kinda pickup.

I'm done with Bolden. Excellent STer but offensively hes fallen off a cliff.

I don't think this signing precludes them from grabbing a downhill hammer in the draft

Honestly, I think Bolden has been kept exclusively for his (excellent) ST contributions, not as a true RB. Bolden is to RB depth what Slater is to WR depth.

I know he's a bit slower but to me this is BB drafting experienced and NFL ready to play McCaffrey.

B-Rex waited long enough and he's ready to explode. With Lewis injury situation and somewhat diminished explosion&moves .. this would be a perfect pick up.

I agree with those who see this asa Bolden replacement, they can still bring Blount back and it will give them a deep versatile unit.

Burkhead is old school. He does not have elite straightline speed, but he plays with excellent vision, patience, and contact balance. While he may not be a 25 carry a game type of runner, he certainly could be a 15-20 touches type of guy. I think a signing like this with a RB in the mid rounds of the draft and you have a committee approach on multiple levels. He is a pass catcher as well, but not dynamic like White and Lewis. Would be a solid signing IMO

It is White, Lewis, Foster, Bolden and Burkhead? That is a lot of binkies. And some around these parts are complaining about the # of safeties?

Some people on twitter absolutely love this guy. He's considered the next breakout talent at RB.

Norris is a draft guy. He has Burkhead as a better signing than AP or Charles.

Norris ain't as good as me, but he's right: BurkHead would be a better Signing than either: Rex BurkHead, as seen by Fanatical Yankee, a Great American.

BurkHead has flat out spectacular Potential.

Give him 200 Carries and 75 Targets (50 Catches) in this Offense, and we're talking maybe 1500 Yards. He is on par with Dion Lewis ~ yes, that Dion Lewis ~ in terms of Run/Pass Dual Threat with explosive Possibilities. Sign the Beast!!

on a side note got a feeling we made a offer Justin Hunter is mulling over.
His Twitter says God will help me make the right choice.
If my suspicion is correct that would be the end of Floyd as well as Admendola.
BB could be looking for alot more speed.
I could be reading the tea leaves wrong but it checks all our boxes.

Previous high pick check
Height at the position check
Breakaway speed check
Performed well against us check
Saw enough of tape between the Dolphins and Bills check
Low cap contract check
Hasnt reached potential check
Now why he wouldnt be a good fit
Inconsistent hands check
Not known for timing routes check
Not smooth out of his route breaks check
Not known for a great football IQ check
Below average blocker check
Would be interesting though.

Jesus based on the responses here, posters are more excited for this guy than cooks.

Seems like solid depth, which is good. But that's best case scenario here

I would HATE to see Hunter signed at the expense of DA.

Danny is a baller who make plays in crunch time.

With White and Lewis he should not be seeing the field as a pass catcher.

I think hes lost a little bit of his running ability. Not sure why.

I think Burkhead would replace both Bolden and Foster on the 2017 53 man roster.
This would leave room for a big rookie back. He might also replace White in 2018.
White will receive a bigger offer like Woodhead and Vereen did.
