to be honest abc/espn is using him very sparingly but his breakdowns as good as usual. he gave the one telling line which all analysts quacking about never said so far - "Seattle is going to have to throw to win the game"

If Hasslebeck ends up as SB MVP, then the genius of Belichick will just grow.

Listening to the football show on WEEI this morning they were saying that to a man in the locker room after the Denver game the players and coaches they talked to off the record expressed that they blew a chance to host the AFC title game. They said all the Pats players expected the Steelers to beat Indy and win the Super Bowl.

Give the guy credit- he was very good. His voice was strong and had a friendly tone to it. Of coarse his breakdowns were right on the money.

He's better than 75% of the jerks that they have on any of the networks. I hope that he doesn't change careers for many years.

Yup. He did sound very friendly, and looked pretty relaxed. His segment was by far the most football-oriented and interesting. With all the hype surrounding this event, it's nice to see that there are still people willing to analyze the football game that's going to happen in between the commercials, the Rolling Stones and the parties.
