I’m the biggest Tom Brady defender out there, but he’s overexposed right now. Wait until this season gets underway. Carolina is ranked 16th in the ACC ahead of only Boston College and Stanford. The over/under for wins this season is 4.5. It's hard to find 5 wins on that schedule. The distraction of the CSC investigation plus whatever this Mike Lombardi thing is about only adds to the disarray of a program that saw 56 upper classmen leave and only 18 come in through the portal. He's got 41 freshmen on the roster - some good ones, but still freshmen with more money in their pockets than they could have ever imagined. Imagine you're an 18-year-old with $50,000 at your disposal away from home for the first time. What could go wrong?

The feeling that folks get from being considered the best is difficult to walk away from, while many of their sins had context when they were at the top and were forgiven, in later life they are difficult to excuse as they descend into normalcy.
For both it would have been better to just walk away from the spotlight and lead more mundane lives.

Bill was 29-38 his last 4 seasons here. Why do you find 4-8 embarassing, but not expected?
I will wait on the outcome of the invetsigations into the program, however I do believe the Lombardi situation is one of harrassment.
That's certainly a stain on Bill, but no more so than hiring MattP as an OC. a bad hire decision is a bad hire decision.

I don't find the young GF an embarrassment. no one appears to be forcing her into the relationship, and it has been ongoing for what now. 4-5 years?

I think Tom is doing a very good job as the lead analyst. I believe he is a great listen.
he is also a minority owner with a voice in personnel
half of his public optics are with his kids and the other half with hot models.

In the end of the day, who am I to tell two multimillionaires who are widely believed to be the pinnacle of their professions they're embarrassing themselves? But at this point, Brady is honestly more disappointing to me. As some may know, I have been critical of Bill over the last few years, but at least Bill is still doing what he loves: coaching.

Brady, on the other hand, is willing to take a check from anyone who is willing to give him one. Can't fault a man for getting paid, but some of the people signing those checks are truly slimeballs. Taking blood money from the Saudis for his flag football stuff, he is now Michael Rubin's lapdog, charging $4k to sign Fanatics cheap crap, and now PR stunts with YouTubers.

Brady isn't destroying his on-field legacy like Bill is but he's getting way too oversaturated with this stuff. Wish he'd take a step back. He doesn't need to be a pop culture icon and nobody will care if he is or isn't one.

4-8 in the college ranks is humiliating. They give you 2 free wins per year by playing lower division teams so UNC really went 2-8.

The relationship itself, while not exactly mainstream, is not the problem. It is the ancillary behavior like her taking over his interviews (“we’re not talking about that”), walking around UNC camp like she owns the place, making demands of production companies.
