I don't think I agree with what he implies here but worth discussing. We see this in baseball all the time with pitchers taking on way more workload than they're used to.

I'd say more likely Mac faced two of the better pass defenses in the league with the Panthers and Chargers pass defense on the road and it's nothing more than that.

Quarterbacks can play more games/reps than any other player with minimal wear and tear, IMO. As long as we have 7 days between games...we should be fine.

I'd be worried NEXT Thursday when we play the Falcons in Atlanta coming off a physical game vs. the Browns this Sun....

not sure we're seeing it......but it was a concern coming into the season

Mac made rookie TB12 look like Adonis lol

Way too early to think that. Against San Diego he had a bad quarter and a half, but he played really well down the stretch. And this week, you take away the fumble (which wasn't on him) and the INT (which Bedard actually blamed Meyers for running a god-awful route) and he had a good first half last week and other than one bad drive wasn't asked to do much in the second half.

So, at this point, we don't know if his lack of production over the last two games has to do with anything other than the Pats have been relying on defense and the running game to win games.

Less about being tired
More about getting pancaked early and often in recent games
He was money vs LAC until he was disemboweled

Bedard is an out of gas loser

I can understand there might be some mental fatigue- especially for a rookie QB in this offense w BB and Josh up his butt.

This year hes been sacked 17 times, hit 34 times and pressured 20% of his dropbacks.

In 2020 at Bama he was sacked 3 times all year.

Just seems to me that they are de-emphasizing the pass game since the run game is looking so strong lately. Especially so in the last game, where it seemed they went >80% run in the second half.

With all the injuries to the RB position I think he’ll be passing more on Sunday than in any game so far

He'll hit the rookie wall.. that's pretty self-evident. They all do so the question is how fast they can bounce back.

Looks about the same to me as he has. Does he look tired or something?

BTW, Bedard did have a hot take in early October that he thought that Jones may be having trouble seeing over the line of scrimmage and that is why he wasn't throwing down field. So Bedard is not always infallible with his analysis.

If this is a problem (which it isn't) then mediots should flip out over Trey Lance coming from a college offense that literally ran the ball 70% of its total snaps and where lance only averaged 160 yards passing a game in college. This is a terrible article.

.

The rookie wall is very real.
