I hope you don’t actually believe this drivel.
Brady took a loser Franchise with a 5-11 record the year before and beat Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers, and Patrick Mahomes to win a super bowl at age 43.

What’s belichick’s record without Brady as his QB?
Here we go again. Like for the 1000th time. Do you have anything to add that has not been argued more than 100 times before? I thought not. YAWN!!!

Bedard is just another "nattering nabob of negativity" who makes $$$ off of bashing the Patriots..
For some reason that is well liked among many fans today..
Point out two things he said in that article that are incorrect.

You must be an apologist. Forgive me, for calling out the worst offender of cronyism I have ever seen.

Do you think we should feel positively about this team?
Having been a fan since '69. have seen bad times, really bad times and really really bad times. In the current situation there is room for optimism, no sure how you can judge this team considering the lack of talent... the cupboard was bare when BB left and despite leaving $30+ million on the table they did not do much to improve it.. then there is the drafting of Polk and Baker, both of whom pooped the bed.
Replacing Wolf and taking a look at the OC and DC coordinators may help make this team better.
Next year there is something like $130 million of cap room, if they choose to make upgrades along with a better draft there is room for optimism.
Do not believe Mr. Kraft is happy the way this team trended this year..

DarrylS has only one schtick…..crapping on media… with an emphasis on talk radio
I agree with his take on sports talk. It's a cesspool. It fascinates me that there are so many people sitting on their asses talking about sports who make more than the players putting it all out there on the field. There are plenty of folks here who could do that job just as well.

I'm all for waving pom poms and getting drunk on spiked koolaid. It's just impossible at the moment until we cut the ball and chain and do a proper, responsible, professional search for a qualified HC. You'll find that many of us can be quite forgiving about the wins not flooding in immediately if the person in charge is not such a clear ball and chain to the franchise.

It's infuriating because we just got rid of the colossal handicap that was Mac Jones and hit jackpot on his replacement, only to have team brass saddle us with an equally impossible handicap by the name of Jerod Mayo.
You're placing far too much value on the HC. If what you say is true than why do the Mayo Pats of 2024 look almost identical to the Belichick Pats of 2023? It's about the players first and foremost.

Which is another reason I think AVP stays even if their is a change at HC.
Haven't you heard?? Both Krafts are not happy with AVP the Playcaller: you know Mayo has to blame someone or something.

I tried really hard to take this position going back a few weeks I kept saying he just needs to show anything to make us feel positive (even if it was just 1 win) but then Mayo just hasn't shown anything to keep me on his side if anything he seems to be getting worse.

You still have the reasonable take and in some ways I still agree with it but my frustrations have gotten the better of me.
Mayo is not getting fired this season.

The team would turn on the Krafts.

Is this satire,?
Did Thunder, Wolfe and Groh do enough to field a complete team? No

Did Mayo and his coaching staff do enough to win more than 3 games? No

Who do you keep and who do you fire?

He didn't bring it up. He responded to another poster who did. Apparently you weren't bored with it then.

Mayo hints about possibly changing coaches tells me he ain't going anywhere. I bet Kraft told him he is safe.

Either AVP is the scapegoat or they run it back.

Run it back with a blockbuster draft and FA.

The Pats should be able to add 4 - 5 starters. 2 via the draft and 2 or 3 by way of FA.

Winning another game this season is idiotic. Were on to 2025.

There is truth to this, but not when you are looking to get to the next level.

The Buffalo Bills have been a good example of this.

LOL, the defense doesn't look "almost identical to the Belichick Pats of 2023." This year's version looks, and is, far worse with essentially the same personnel.
