What are you going to do if Kraft keeps him?

I think he's coming back, and I think they'll manage this upcoming draft well, and I think we'll quickly get back to our winning ways. Interesting side story is whether we retain BOB or change back to Josh if he's available.

I question that. This hasn’t been a fundamentally sound team the last two years and things that used to be his bread and butter like special teams took a nosedive.

He’s about to be 72, coaches do in fact age out. I have no reason to think he will turn around a 5 year decline in coaching and a 10 year decline in team building
All fair points and even if I just concede them all to you as true I still think even a declined BB could accidentally get the QB decision right this time around then still be more equipped to have success then what happens most times new GMs and Coaches are hired in this league.

I'm getting Mayo Vibes the Krafts might as well move on now I thought BB Coaches Two more year which included 2023. Let Mayo get his feet wet starting this year go with young buck instead of the old fart. Kraft seems to value Mayo why wait knowing the circumstances couldn't be more favorable.

I think they largely changed and fixed their drafting problems as a result of the NKeal disaster, and with Groh taking Cesario's role 2 years ago. The past 4 drafts have been fine. We took a step back when Brady left and Cam played, during the ridiculous Covid season. Then a couple of .500 seasons with Mac, before this one.

I have nothing against BB's Coaching it's his Drafting and Roster Building on the Offensive that irks me there so ancient.

Right and due to having 100 mil to spend and then just assuming in the top 5 anyone could get the QB choice right it means the sun could shine on him one more time and then we'd still have his coaching. However if we reset and we don't get them both right we end up in the same mess anyway and even if we do get it right it still might not even be close to BB.

We can only speculate in the end it's up to the Krafts my hope is if they keep him he's stripped of all GM duties. I just have a hard time imagining BB accepting that after observing his personality in recent years.

You are trashing the trans Zappe beat (who would be in the playoffs if Zappe didn’t beat them) but no comment that 10 loses to LV, Wash, NO, Indy the Giants.
Wining against decent teams is somehow not as good as losing to decent AND bad teams?
Whoa!
Zappe is trans? What are his pronouns?

I don't dislike Mayo.
But, I don't know why he'd be a wise choice for right now.
He's had little to no experience on the Offense or ST. He's never had an official "coordinator" role, or asst. HC...
Tons of staffing and management and personnel knowledge needed to really succeed, and taking over for a legend with a Zero-experience guy seems doomed.

Right, and I am sure our patient and reasonable fan base will bend over backwards to tolerate the inevitable growing pains that are possible to happen with a new and unproven HC.

We will adjust like any other franchise hiring a new HC.

Would you like someone for Two years or Ten?? What if Mayo is actually something we know what winning it all feels like more than any other franchise. What if Mayo is like McVay or Shanahan on the Defensive side of the ball a Great young innovative mind?? Would that be so bad?? Some of us are just too hung up on the GOAT of HC's it has to end sometime nothing last forever. And IF Mayo sucks Kraft can move on that's how the NFL works.

So.. from my understanding what's being reported is Kraft doesn't want a repeat of the TB12 situation, so he has consulted with other prestigious people on how to handle the parting of ways... Bill knows what is on the table.. the guy knows everything about football history but he doesn't know if he's going to be here or not BS.. not buying that for 1 minute.

Sure. He knows it's gone from bad to worse, and he's not stupid. It's as good of a time as any to make a change. He's gonna be 72 the week before the draft (ish anyway) , they have good cap space and a high draft pick. Bring in a fresh mind and see what happens, because status quo is not working.

PREACH!!!! Mayo if it is him hopefully would be a breathe of fresh air.. a leader who can command a locker room. I look at young coaches all around the league and they can lead. Bill is 72 not 42.. if the GOAT can leave so can Bill.. absolutely correct if Mayo isn't the guy than we find another coach. However getting this offense into a 2024 NFL standards is the first task for anyone.
