He was very happy and was shown congratulating the D shaking hands with every one. He was grinning all the way on national TV. Very rarely I have seen this.

Other than a 100th QB/HC win, is there any other significance or he was just plain happy the way D played ?

He always seems that happy when he wins in Miami. Do know what it is but those games seem very important to him.

Yeah, I've noticed that too....occasionally see it w/the Colts (Jets?) as well. I think he's got a very strong sense each game if the Pats will win or lose. Those games that offer a bit of a surprise outcome might trigger a bit more emotion than usual.

Brady was fired up, too. It is probably just because it was a division win on the road. We've been spoiled lately, but those games usually aren't that easy.

Probably because half the team finally listened to him and they were sucessful.

BB's more personally invested in this team, eschewing coordinators and bringing the young players along.

Plus wins in Miami or NYJ are big, he's a competitor.

Road division road wins are huge, especially against Miami and NYJ (If they can ever do it again). This was a gigantic win for this team, probably their biggest win in quite some time...great job....

Loved when someone asked something about how nice it must feel to finally win in Miami and he said basically "well, we've won three of the last four down here."

Which they have. Nice.

At the 3:30 mark here:
Bill Belichick Postgame Press Conference - 10/4/2010

That comment stood out to me as well. Guess I'm too much a casual fan because I did not know that fact. Guess I've been reading and listening to too much doom and gloom.

BB and GOAT Brady both were emotional for 2 reasons, 1st they know how special it is to have each other (Brady postgame, "I wish I could be here (Patriots) forever") and they both know how important those division rival Ws are in the quest for the AFCE championship.

I agree. This was our biggest win since the regular season game at Baltimore in 2007.

What I think we're seeing in Belichick this year is what he really loves to do as a football coach, which is teach. He's a pretty good strategist, and is always thinking about the little things to give his team the edge, but I get the feeling he takes tremendous pride and satisfaction in the instruction part of coaching. I got the same feeling in 2008 when Brady went down, I felt like he took that as a challenge and really coached some guys up. He's just a guy that loves coaching, and it's showing a little bit early on this year.

When the Pats gave up the first touch down to Devon Bess, the camera showed BB looking really annoyed. ( I, myself, thought "here we go - long night towards a 30 point scoring by Miami") A few minutes later, BB had all the defense players around him coaching them up.

Yup. Must be quite satisfying if your pupils master those lessons.

Loved the Wes Welker commercial, "why is coach smiling?"

Yes, those were iconic moments. Watching BB's pissed off reaction to the Bess TD, I said "Uh oh. There we go again."

Shortly thereafter I felt reassured watching him do what he loves, coaching up the D and teaching the developing players what was wrong and how they could work to correct their mistakes. Some of them are clearly listening.

Jeez you guys read to much into things. He was ecstatic because they have a bye week and some time off and he can go see Bon Jovi

Doesn't it mean even more when BB shows emotion? If he showed it every time, I guess I'd still like it, but it would take away from it all, sort of like a page with too much highlighter on it...

BB very rarely gets pumped up, at least in the open. The one time I saw this before was when our D stopped Indy at the goal line. May be a few more that I missed, but it is safe to say they are a few and far.

Yesterday must have been very special

Didn't he throw his headphones in the air in jubilation after a win in Miami during the 2003 streak? That was fun.

How often do you see any NFL Defense block a Punt, block a FG and return it for TD, and Return a kick in the same half? It's probably never been done before.

Oh and we got 4 INT's in the same game.

add in the fact that it was on the road against a good team.... and almost all our points came in the 2nd half....

BB had a lot of reason to be happy.
