This was not BB's best game by a long shot. The challenge was also dumb, even if you win it. Not at all worth the risk given the point in the game. He out-thought himself tonight, if he just lets the team play, they win.
Did he take advice from Herm Edwards before this game or something? He seemed to do everything wrong tonight.
The overall gameplan was okay. But like I mentioned in the game thread, when you shorten the game like that, one mistake can spell your doom. And that was the Thomas foul. On the bright side, this is a regular season game and there is plenty more to be played. You can bet BB won't be this passive or faulty when the season is on the line.
The other thing that kills me about the last TO is the indecisiveness by BB. If you're leaning towards FG you might as well just let the damn play clock run out. It's a 25 yard kick instead of 20, woopteedoo. BB really managed this thing as badly as he could have, this will really sting later on if it costs us a shot at a bye or the playoffs altogether

I'm in the minority, but the FG call doesn't really upset me. BB apparently had a gut feeling about the situation; call it "panic" if you'd like, but I'd wager his intuition serves the Pats well 9 times out of 10. In the presser, he did say that the distance was greater than he initialy realized.
