BAD News For The Other 31 Teams Of The NFL

Also bad news for the rest of the league: Gronk is just a few months older than that average age. Turns 26 in May.

What scare me about Gronk is that he may give it all up to:

1. Go into Porn.
2. Go into the talk show business.
3. Go into Porn.

Playing the Seahawks may well have been a franchise-destroying experience. It may have destroyed the Seahawks.
Well, the Seahawks just lost Dan Quinn, their DC. Also, it remains to be seen how well Bevell is received after throwing Lockette under the bus for the interception..

It also remains to be seen what sort of ridiculous contract the Seahawks throw at Wilson and how badly it handicaps them going forward.

It's not just Wilson, but they're talking about giving Lynch a huge extension, and they'll still have to sign Sherman at some point. The Seahawks are as good as they are because they have a tremendous collection of talent (and a coach who is good at motivating that talent). Eventually that talent is going to fade unless they once again pull All-Pro players out of the middle rounds. We saw how easy we threw on the corner that came in to replace Lane. Once the overall talent level and depth drops, is that coaching staff able to continue the team's success based on scheme? I wouldn't bet on it.

Sherman is signed to a big deal, no?
wilson money and Lynch exension are worth considering. they've been chucking around some decent contracts recently. Hard to do that and give Wilson the money they were talking about (AAv 22 mill).
Lynch is at the age where he may go into decline also.

This could end up being like the 1998 Denver team. They beat a team that was considered a dynasty in the making. Denver ended up repeating the next year and their "old" QB went out a winner.

I am not saying that would happen - and I actually think Brady has at least 5 years of HOF level QB play in him. The only thing that could alter that is the BS from the league.

I'm as optimistic as anyone, but 5 years? That seems like a lot......

Is he? I thought one of him and Thomas was not yet signed long term, but I could be wrong.

They will also get younger and better next year.

2nd, 3rd and two 4th rounders (one of them very early in that round - - thank you very much, Mr. Mankins!).

Then they get two 1st rounders - - the #32 pick + Dominique Easley!

And likely a 3rd round comp pick, can't forget about that. NE is going to have a lot of options from 96-140.

Sherman was extended last off season.

I find it really weird that Gronk is one of the older players on this team, damn.

They need to get younger and better on the d line.I will admit that i was never a fan of the easley pick but i am wiling to give him next year to prove me and everyone else wrong. This team needs a young vince wilfork and another pass rusher up front

Don't care about unbeaten, another ring and second dynasty would be far more satisfying .

With Brady restructuring his contract to free up cap room, I'd like to see the pash rush improve to take a bit of pressure off the DBs. Maybe another large OL to protect the QB.

Yeah, but those Broncos cheated the salary cap - - so their two SB's should be asterisked.

OK, so before taking into account the Colt draft picks that the NFL will be soon awarding to the Pats for Framegate........

The Patriots 2015 Draft will be (please correct me if I'm wrong):

1 First rounder
1 Second rounder
2 Third rounders (one from the Broncos for FA Talib signing)
2 Fourth rounders (one of which- the Tampa trade one - will be the #1 pick of the 4th round)
0 Fifth rounders (given to Tampa)
2 Sixth rounders (one - Tampa trade - will be #1 pick of the 6th round, other is Buff pick from FA Spikes)
1 Seventh rounder (#2 pick of that round from the Casillas trade we gave them our 6th for their 7th)

This is ENORMOUS.......given that the 4th and 6th will be the very first pick of those rounds (and the 4th rounder is the first pick of that DAY).

So......

Pats gave away LAST picks in the 4th (to Tampa), 6th (to Tenn) and 7th (to ??)

Pats get FIRST picks in the 4th and 6th, a mid-rounder in the 6th and the #2 in the 7th.

I think I am having a heart attack. Seriously, call Brad Pitt to play Nick Caserio in Moneyball 2.

This team is built for the next decade - - no matter whether Brady plays until 47 or Jimmy G. takes over in a few years.

I'm no draft pro, but Wilfork's successor would be a good use of the Pats first round pick, IMO.

Playing the Seahawks may well have been a franchise-destroying experience. It may have destroyed the Seahawks.

Superbowl losing teams frequently don't often return the following year. In fact many don't even make the Playoffs.

Watching the Seahawks throw each other the Bus, including the Coaches, will destroy team unity, is a part of the unravelling. The Seahawks are well ahead of schedule on this aspect.

Pete was often criticized as a "Players Coach", of not being able to control the team and keep it in line. We shall now see.

I personally think the MEDIOTS are wrong as usual. You have a better chance to score with 3 plays, rather than only 1 or 2, with the few seconds remaining and only one TO left. What he chose allowed 3 plays, all unhurried, if required, while running time off the clock.

I'd predict BB would do EXACTLY the same. Screw the brainless MEDIOTS.

Unexpectedly, Richard Sherman displayed the most class and grace as a loser. It only confirms that the smart Stanford grad, is using the stupid MEDIOTs to burnish his notoriety, and subsequent pecuniary contract. It appears to be all a purposeful obnoxious act, after all. Smart guy.

Ironically, Lynch was also somewhat gracious and thoughtful in his comments, too.

19-0. It must now be done............
After 2007, I was desperate for them to win a superbowl. Now I think I will be content even if they don't get there next year.
