Because of the injury to Gaffney, I fear that we will take the easy way out and keep all ten receivers, six on the roster, two on the PUP list and two on the Practice Squad.
Also does anyone think Rashad Moore has any shot as a backup NT? At first I thought it made sense but know I see it as a wasted roster spot. In a worst case Warren, Seymour and Wright could create a rotation.
I've gone through the same line of thinking. IMO Moore is the purest NT on the roster after Wilfork -- Wright is clearly a DE at this point, Smith a bit of a tweener. But realistically, if Wilfork's out for a game you're far more likely to see a starting line of Seymour-Warren-Green than Seymour-Moore-Warren. And LeKevin would likely make the game-day actives over Moore based on versatility. So what value does he bring to the roster?
Realistically, the #7 DL is close to a developmental redshirt slot. I'd award it with an eye toward potential for 2008 far more than contributions in 2007.
