Of course there is NO legal basis and it will not happen....BUT for a day it gives a few Saints fans a glimmer of hope. Its harmless.
By the way, the Saints had a chance to overcome this gaffe and they did not. Today's NFL top teams have to be able to be resilient and overcome refereeing mistakes.

Did the refs cause Brees to throw that pick in OT? All I heard was how unfair it was that the Pats got the ball first in OT after they drove down and scored. The Saints were afforded the same opportunity and failed.

Maybe if they spent less time obsessing over excuses they would have been a little more focused on winning.

I think going back a few years ago some shisher lawyer from NJ wanted to sue the NFL for screwing the Giants in a playoff loss vs SF.

Got thrown out in about 4 seconds.

It has no hope (McCann already touched on this in an SI piece yesterday).

It will fail for the same reason the Spygate lawsuits failed -- courts have consistently held that a ticket only entitles you to see the game between the two stated teams from your stated seat. That's it. And if the person suing wasn't at the game it's even more laughable since they have no contract with the teams or the NFL at all.
