For those keeping score at home...

In order to position themselves to draft Devin Asiasi, Dalton Keene & Justin Rohrwasser (remember him?), Bill & Nick traded the:
100th
125th
129th
139th
& the172nd picks of the 2020 draft,
and a 2021 6th-rounder.

How about them apples?

Chess vs Checkers

Harry too.

2021 as well.
It’s obviously the quarterbacks faults. If only he didn’t play with the GOAT last year, he’d really be ready to break out. Any week now.

If you think we should draft quality players you're being ungrateful as a fan.

Bill the GM has not covered himself in glory of late. I wonder if there's a team in the league that gets less production from rookies and/or has more rookies spend time on IR or miss an entire season than the Patriots. Bill seems to have a knack for picking guys that get injured a ton.

He is billed as a WR with 4.5 speed and 36" of separation.

No joke either.

The old way of acquiring WRs worked well with Brady in his prime years, but as Brady got older he needed some talent to help him out.

The fact that the Pats won 12 games last season is amazing when you look at the motley crew of WR and TEs. It sure would have been nice to have had AB the whole season which leads to another issue that hacks me off. AB cost 9 million. If NE drafted a good WR like an AJ Brown or Terry McLaurin, you have them on the cheap for 3 - 4 years with good WR production.

It is mind boggling to me that we basically gave up on getting a veteran TE after we whiffed on Cook. We tried to sign the old drunk ASJ but who knows what happened there and Lance Kendricks since. This year we just decided Larry Izzo and two rookies who Bill won't let play would do the trick.

Small nit, we thought we had one but veteran TE LaCosse post prime FA time (not that we had cap space then) dropped out for COVID.
Not that he is at all useful.

It's in line with how McDaniels structured his league-worst offense in St Louis and Denver.

I think (okay maybe just hoped) he would get cut before he opted out. He was a horrible blocker and didn't do much as a pass catcher. I am hoping we have seen the last of him but no one this year has done anything to take his spot.

Our combined TE production at the halfway point of the season - 10 receptions, 122 yards, 0 TDs. 9 receptions and 114 yards of that came from Izzo. The two TEs we drafted, in what was considered a bad year for the position, have combined for 1 reception and 8 yards. This was a position that visibly and obviously needed to be addressed in an aggressive fashion. I would do the combined WR stats, but I’m already depressed enough as it is.
