As The Ball Bounces: Week 9

I like Laurence. He was a good pick. He will be a great back for the Patriots.

But Addai is better.

It gives Maroney something to shoot for.

I'm frustrated with the lack of snaps Kool-aide is getting. He's averaging 4.7 yards a carry. He showed in the Washington game he could catch the ball...heck, he was returning kick-offs last season. He's got hands.

Josh just really likes Faulk in there for the spread offense because of his experience catching, running draws, and picking up blocks.
Its too bad, because I think we're wasting a real good talent here by leaving it on the bench.

Can Addai tackle? Cuz that was our problem on Sunday.

Maroney is a good back as well. You have to wonder what Addai would be picking up, were he in NE with this receiving corps and a low-tread, split-carries philosophy. I can't be certain Addai's better, but I think so.

We have better RB/Specialist with[i am not going to say backup] maroney .IN passing downs and when DE needs to be chipped josh/brady like faulk due to his experience. He was hitting freeney before releasing consistently in the 4th quater.

Addai has keith behind him ....so more carries and more snaps.

FOr they do addai is good for us maroney is so different then faulk and heath that he fits out system. If addai is here he would not be in where faulk is or heath is either.

I would have been happy with either. Before the draft, I was hoping for Addai, since I didn't think we would have a shot at Bush, Williams, or Maroney but was pleasantly surprised by the Maroney pickup. Both are very similar in my opinion, and while Addai may have had more production so far, I think that is due to circumstances such as injury factors, O line schemes, etc. Both are potentially explosive backs that, when healthy, can score from anywhere on the field.

I think Maroney has more talent, but Addai has fully realized his more quickly.

The one advantage Addai has, to me, is that really nifty little lateral bounce move that he has. He is able to maintain full momentum while not "going anywhere." (Advantage being pure running, not considering teammates, schemes, etc.)

Maroney = great talent with injury concern's so far

Addai = Great talent with far less injury issues

Right now Addai > Maroney
