Some might even go lower with 2 RB's, 0 FB, or 8 OL's. 22 seems a reasonable starting point. We could play well with 22. We have the luxury of more.

MG MINIMUM (22)
2 QB
5 WR
4 RB/FB
9 OL
2 TE

We could have an additional player at any of these positions. You could even argue to reduce one of these by one.

My choices are
#3 QB
#10 OL (if Bryant isn't on IR)
maybe a 6th WR or 3rd TE

Good list.

Personally I would keep it to two QBs plus a third on the practice squad, then as mentioned above a 10th OL, 6th WR and 3rd TE. Many of the bottom of the roster players are going to be primarily, if not exclusively special teamers.

I don't see us with only 22 on O

A lot of the Week 1 rosters are strategic in terms of who they can and can't risk on waivers and/or avoiding guaranteeing veteran contracts

If they think Jam Miller or Len Larison can make it through to PS, then fine, but both have played well, and Larison, I think, could be a decent returner plus a between-the-tackles RB plus a pass catcher. So I'm open to keeping 4 true RBs on the roster if Larison plays ST too.

I think we can get by with 2 QBs and I'm still of a mindset that if we are thin at TE then have Mack go out there, as he has done that for Josh in the past.

10 OL would be nice but given injuries it might not make sense to put a PS caliber guy on the 53 man roster, so I think they may start at 9 and use that spot elsewhere

6 WRs if we keep Boutte - 5 if we trade him. But this could all change into Week 2 as it has in the past.

Spot on.

Maye, Devito
AJB, Doubs, Hollins, Pop, Williams
Rahm, Hendo, Larison, Gilliam
Campbell, AVT, Wilson, Owenu, Moses, Lomu, Butler, Van Roten, Brown
Henry, Raridon
