If you think a player who’s a double all pro, and as hyped as hunter has been from day one, won’t be holding out or asking for a new contract as soon as he’s eligible for an extension (year 3). I don’t know what to say to ya. Let’s not forget he’d be playing 2 of the most diva positions in the sport. If he lives up to his hype, there is absolutely zero way in the world he plays the full 5 years on a rookie contract. Let alone 2 more years under the franchise tag.
You conveniently reference Higgins while leaving out the Chase situation. As much as I’d love to have chase, I’d hate to be in the position the bengals are due to players like chase. There’s no way that team can justify paying both those receivers. Chase is overpaid period. Don’t get me started on Higgins. It reminds me of the manning colts. Not a team building approach I fancy.
