It's really too bad that fans can't communicate with the owner.
I would love to know if Kraft is going to have pucks and money taken from him for no reason have Brady smeared and then pay goodell as if nothing happened.
I would expect him to eviscerate goodell in the paycheck the same way goodell has made him look like a boob.
Kraft has directly told goodell that nothing happened numerous times and goodell has ***** slapped him.

The problem is Kraft thinks goodell is doing a good job.

All indications are that he'll vote him a raise. However, we'll probably never know since the FO gave up their tax exempt status last year, so they no longer need to publicly declare the salaries of their officers.

Well he was doing ok pre-Goodell, as were most owners, but nonetheless I'm sure whatever part of Kraft might want to fight for his guys against the league is balanced/outweighed by the fact that they're (meaning all the owners) paying Goodell relative peanuts to be the bad guy for any and all anti-fan or anti-player positions the league has and will continue to take. His salary looks ridiculous but it's a little over $1m per owner, yes? How much are the Patriots worth?

For the record I think there's fan considerations and some pretty obvious personal brand protection that make most of Krafts actions and continued public support for Rog stupid. But even a lot of the vitriol that should rightfully be directed at owners gets deflected to Goodell, just saying that's well worth the price the owners are paying him.

And it makes the NFL a huge farce sponsored by suckers . . . I mean fans . . . like us.

I'm sorry, but, with the way the NFL's popularity has exploded this century, I have a hard time believing Roger the Transparent has had much to do with it. A dimwit could have tripled revenues/ team values in the same time frame.

I genuinely believe the bolded part to be his primary skill, as considered by the other owners. He's the negative face of the league to the players and the public. Maybe "skill" is pushing it, but while I personally might be willing to take a beating on behalf of the owners for $40m per year, I don't honestly know if I'd be able to do it for 3 years, or 5, or 10. But if your constant and apparent ineptitude in the eyes of the players, coaches, fans, and media is not only not punished, but rewarded...

Maybe you could argue (Kontra often does) that a differently run league could be even more profitable, and the owners as a whole have ****ed up by letting this stooge be "in charge" for the last decade. Sometimes the stooge you know beats the stooge you don't, I think it's that simple to them.
