I was relieved when AB was released today. I think we have more than enough weapons and personally I would like to see guys like Dorsett, Harry and Meyers get the touches instead. They are the future, not some nutjob on the tail end of his career.
Dorsett has been getting better every game and he is so reliable, I’d love to see him get some more action. He is becoming one of my favorite players, he’s almost Amendola like in his ability to come up with clutch catches. He seems like a good guy too.
I’m dying to see what the youngsters Harry and Meyers can do, I think they both have some amazing potential and I think with the vets picking up most of the workload they’ll be allowed to develop without being held back and without being under pressure to immediately produce.
Sure AB was a HOFer but I think we have enough with Edelman, Gordon and Dorsett and then sprinkle in whatever the young guys can contribute. All AB would have done is ******ed the development of younger guys who are part of the present and more importantly the future.
I’m glad he’s gone. And I know some will say I’m just being overly optimistic but even when we got him I was a little sad thinking of the touches that would be lost by guys like Dorsett who frankly deserve it more.
