Anyone else feel sorry for Randy Moss?

I feel bad for Moss because Cassel doesn't know how to play with Moss' strength. No one can read Moss' mind. He may say it is team first and it definitely might be team first with him but anyone who has played sports knows that you get a little disappointed when your team isn't using you as much as you can be used. Moss is our best player right now. He looked angry sometimes. The W, playing for a team that gave him a chance when no one wanted to and his history makes a big difference. He might want to show anger but he just can't afford to.

The real question should be, Does Randy Moss feel sorry that I drafted him with the 14th overall pick in my fantasy football draft this year.

Pfft. I took him with #7. And it's a point per reception league. I'm getting killed.

On the other hand, if fantasy football is the only thing football related I can b!tch about, life is good!

Yesterday he would have torn sh|t up on a couple of those plays (especially that botched throw by Cassel, Brady would have nailed it).

I feel bad for him. I hope Cassel is ready to start with the long ball soon. You think Moss is pissed, or is he taking this in stride?

didnt we win?

I think he's happy to win any way they can get it, but is disappointed that he isn't able to contribute as much on offense as he was with Brady.

Feel sorry for Randy...Hmmmmmmmmmmm let me think about that:

23 TD's - NFL Record
On the team that went 18-0
On the team that broke all kinds O'records.
Trip to the Super Bowl
Seen once again as the best reciever in the league and possible his generation
Workin' with Tom Brady (albiet only one year, 2007 - Still has 2 more years with Tom)
Huge 3 year contract
HAS LOST ONE GAME AS A PATRIOT

I could go on, but No - I don't feel sorry for Randy. He's a captain and so far has acted as such. He's a great leader that will help Cassel and team thru the 2008 season.
Good point. He take the captain deal seriously. After Brady he is our only real bonified "superstar". It will take a few games for Cassel to get used to the way Moss works (lets just hope it's not like the Raiders QB'S). It will take time but I still see Moss getting over 60 catches this year even with Cassel. I do think his YPC will go down though. When they start to gang up on our backs doing circle routes and quick outs, Moss will be more effective. He blew by Revis because Revis was looking short. He has to be the "go to" guy for the playoffs and he knows that. Randy had the ball. Revis hit the ball while in his chest.
I wonder how good Cassels long ball really is? That was just one. Hopefully we'll find out soon.

I think any WR in Moss's situation would be unhappy about losing Tom Brady for the year. That said, he is on a winning club and they still have a shot at the SuperBowl.

Cassell will improve and Randy will get more opportunities... especially when teams try to shut down the short stuff... there may be more opportunities deep.

Bingo. And I'm sure he didnt' exactly mind being the superstar go-to guy. I hope he has a few of those games this year is all I'm sayin.

Nah, I don't feel bad for him. I assume he was happy with the win, and if not then I still don't feel bad for him because if that were the case then he still wouldn't be a very sympathetic figure.

Where do people get the idea that its Cassel who is or is not going to call Moss's number? The offensive coordinator calls they plays and it was pretty obvious from yesterday game that the playbook has gotten a lot smaller, now that Cassel is the QB.
Moss will be integrated back into the playbook once the coaching staff has sufficient faith in Cassel. Throwing it all over the field yesterday would have likely resulted in a loss.
Crawl, then walk, then run!

Good point. Hell, I felt bad for him last year when he became the decoy guy instead of the go-to guy. But everyone is right that if Moss is truly a team player, a Patriot, then he is happy with a win. And that is some consolation.
