Any watching Owens Press Conference?

I just saw it too. I didn't see any tears though. Just a lot of sniveling

You can knock TO for crying if you want, but it's low-brow, in my opinion. The guy may be an ego-maniacal nutjob at times, but no one has ever rightly accused him of not caring. He's sticking up for is teammate. Can't fault a guy for doing that.

I agree. Sure he's over the top emotionally but he did it for his team mate.
Kinda of showed me something.

Correction- everything to him is about him...He's happy in Dallas because he;s got a QB who always throws to him and won't/can't/hasn't stood up to him. He ripped his QB in SF, nixed a trade to Balt and eviscerated his QB and a team in Philly from which I still don't think they've recovered.....Next question......

Supremely talented people in every walk of life tend to be eccentric. He's a bit of a free spirit but it's undeniable that wherever he goes teams win and win big, and he's the main reason. For some reason the teams themselves don't want to recognize his value, underpay him and then paint him as a villain when he gets annoyed. As far as calling out Garcia, maybe what he said was true. Who in the H wants to play with Kyle Boller? And Philly should have paid him what he was worth instead of cutting off their nose to spite their face.

PS as far as football meaning "everything" to TO... he is a completely self made player. He rose from nothing, built up his body by supreme self discipline, improved his shaky hands, and keeps himself in phenomenal condition at an age when most elite skill players decline. He is a homebody who focuses solely on each game, like a psycho. He's never had off field issues. His drops lasts eason were the result of playing with a broken bone in his strong hand. Marvin Harrison would have taken months off to recover from that one.

Did anyone else notice that the guy who said that "if" the Patriots make it to the SB, they would beat them, dropped at least three big passes in that game.

Re: TO starts crying

I dont know about the rest of you guys but I was actually feeling bad for TO while watching his press conference. He was devastated and is actling like a team player. Sure TO has been a jerk on many occasions and he has a big ego but I couldn't help but feel bad for him when he was crying...

That I did - which made Strahan's comments about Crayton and TO eating popcorn in his basement while watching the Giants next week pretty hilarious.

Between the lines, T.O. always puts it all out on the line. We often criticize him for his selfish antics after the game, therefore I will not mock him when I see genuine emotion. Romo honestly did not play poorly in this game and I respect T.O. for his remarks.

P.S. I do think T.O. can be a team killer and I do not want him on my team, however what he showed in the press conference was admirable and made me respect T.O. more then I have in some time.
