So the CBA tells the teams how to negotiate the terms of all their players contracts?

I don't entirely understand what you mean here, so just let me say this: If a contract has a clause which directly contradicts the CBA, then if such a clause were appealed, the CBA would be enforced and the clause in the contract would be ignored.

Maybe they do, but I doubt it. To be honest with you, I don't know facts like that.

Well my "point" is that while I think AB has the stronger case, I admit I am not sure what will happen, so I am not entirely sure how I am supposed to prove that. However, Michael McCann has a very persuasive article on the situation, so here is a link:

Really? When have they ever cut a player who was owed money in the form of a deferred signing bonus and then not paid it? Aaron Hernandez' situation does not apply here because it is important to note we are talking about a deferred signing bonus, not a salary guarantee (or guaranteed bonus). There's a difference between those and signing bonuses (not to mention Hernandez went to jail so it's not like he was fulfilling his obligations).

I know all of the issues and warts and baggage that AB has but his talent is off the charts and it just makes me sad face emoji that the Pats only had him for one game.

He posted a story this week on Instagram of him running a route on what looked like a high school field. His change of direction and subsequent acceleration were just ridiculous. What a wasted opportunity for both the player and the team.

I'm sure if AB made some sort of weak public apology that Kraft would consider it. We'd all know it was BS but it would give Kraft cover.

Jonathan isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer but I’m ready for him to take over for Robert. My sense is that he gives many fewer sh*ts than dad about public/owner/league office opinion.

Bobby has also grown to love the limelight too much. It annoyed me then he had to be the one to carry the most recent Lombardi out onto the field week 1 instead of keeping it a players only event....should have been Gronk. Finally, the custom Air Force One shoes are ridiculous....just an excuse to wear platform shoes under the cloak of fashion. They are just like George’s Timberland boots in the Indian wedding episode.

Agreed. And not that I watch a lot of locker room film, but I get sick of seeing him in the locker room every week slurring to the players. It's like he thinks he contributed something that week (he didn't). I feel sorry for Belichick having to say his victory speech with Kraft there in his face every time. The locker room is for the football team. Wtf does Kraft add to that situation. He just makes it awkward.

I’m no Kraft fan and I find him brutally awkward but it seems like he is generally well liked by the players. Yes I know he is the one paying them but there are plenty of owners that are despised by the players.
