I believe you, because I'm fairly sure that "high end escort" and "escort fnord could get" are mutually exclusive.
Yes, he plays a certain role and it would’ve looked weird as hell to see Bill high five those kids in that particular setting. I’d have to guess that he’d be a lot different away from the game action. He’s a heel. You want him to break character?

If Brown didn’t have issues there wouldn’t even be talk of a trade. Let’s face it, any elite player that ends up on the trade block for cheap will have some issues. Given that, if you are going to trade for anybody it might as well be AB. He’s as elite as they come.
Edit: PS: with that being said, there is no chance of it happening. But I said the same thing about Gordon so who knows?
The salary cap is also shooting up $10-$14 million next year. 2019 NFL salary cap projected between $187-$191.1 million
I'd take him. I would love for Brady to have a target like him to throw to to end his career. Not that it's going to happen though. Pittsburgh would probably rather pay him to sit on the bench than trade him to the Pats.
You’re not going to get any better than this for a player of Brown’s talent. His salary is pretty reasonable if traded before the 5th day of the league year on 3-17 (as Miguel notes) when his roster bonus is due.
That said, no way that PIT would entertain any thoughts of trading him to NE.
It may be a lot easier knowing that his last 6 seasons have produced yearly averages of 115 catches for about 1500 yards and 11 touchdowns.Absorbing AB's $12.625m (or more) cap hit for 2019 wouldn't be as easy as it looks.
I’m going to respectfully disagree with the idea that I could be right while you could be wrong, no matter what the subject matter is—so there’s that....Perhaps I have it backwards.
My understanding is that, if AB is traded before 3-17, his roster bonus goes with his contract to the acquiring team ... $12.625m salary + $2.5m roster bonus = $15.125m cap hit to the acquiring team for 2019.
OTOH, if he's traded after 3-17, the Steelers eat the roster bonus, and the cap hit to the acquiring team is "only" the $12.625m salary.
Fact is he's better than any wideout on this team. Question is why wouldn't you want him.
I have a feeling that the Steelers will have their fair share of suitors willing to part with something like a first + third.
MM—speaking of cap space, any idea what happens to the 5m from Brady’s deal that was considered LTBE? I’m assuming that is added to the projected 2019 space. Is that correct, since he did not reach any of those incentives?
