Chad has been a long time Pats hater. He used to be syndicated in the Washington Post and he NEVER picked the Pats to win.
His football IQ is not good. Evidently, he hasn't been watching the plays very closely because he says that Moss doesn't block. Oh really? I've seen every minute of every game this year and can attest that Moss has been involved in the blocking schemes. They've even isolated on it in a couple of games because it does contradict his previous rep.
I've heard this guy on Kornheiser's radio show in the past. He sounds like a total loser.
BTW - I don't buy the argument that "he's syndicated, someone must like him.." People have purchased pet rocks. People have liked Britney Spears, Madonna, Paris Hilton, the Gong show, the boy bands, W and many dangerous lying politicians. Being popular doesn't say positive things about you as much as it does about the idiots who make you "popular."
Mr. Norman (I could have called him Mr. Chad, like you, but the true impulse was to address him as "Mr. Bill") has been a pointy-headed dork for quite some time now. I remember he used to write an Thursday column for the Globe (it could have been syndicated - I don't recall) back in the early 70s entitled "The Bottom 10".
This was a column whereby he selected the 10 worst college teams in the nation, and attempted to handicap their upcoming games for the week.
Sometimes funny, mostly not, he exhibited his profound lack of (1) football knowledge and intelligence, and (2) class, even back then, on an almost weekly basis.
The column had some entertainment value, I suppose, but most every week had the same list of usual suspects, like RPI, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, etc,. etc., that really required little insight, football or otherwise.
I see he has brought his diminishing skill set to poker now. As long as he doesn't move on to something more substantial, like Roller Derby or Professional 'Rasslin', we should be OK.
