Re: Then I'll admit I was wrong too...maybe!

Suppose these QB/WR connections are just starting to find their rhythm?
It's obvious the last two weeks that Brady has found his rhythm with Wes Welker and that Randy Moss was the real deal since opening day.

I was never a Randy Moss fan. I never thought that he would be on the Patriots. I never thought he was a "Patriots type player". I thought that he was selfish , lazy, and had a bad attitude.

So when we traded for him I was surprised. But then we got him for a third rounder and he took a pay cut so I figured we could dump him if what I thought was true.

Then in his first statement he said something like "Patriots will see things they have never seen before".And I said "yea, sure".

Well after the entire pre-season and now 7 games, I will say I WAS WRONG. This guy is a freak( in a good way)! He has shown me things I never have seen any other Patriots WR do. He seems to be a team player and have a great attitude and work ethic.

I hope I never have to come back and say I was right. This guy has won me over.:rocker:

Congrats, it only took 730+ yds and 10 td's (in 7 games) to figure it out .

Re: Then I'll admit I was wrong too...maybe!

My mistake wasn't Moss. I liked the trade, it was so cheap both in draft compensation and contract that the upside seemed well worth it.

My mistake was the firm conviction that we had to keep Gaffney and/or Caldwell around because there would be an inevitable transition period before Brady could get in sync with his new receiving corps -- especially since Moss and Stallworth had missed so much of training camp. You can't just plug in a receiver like a toaster, right? It takes a lot of reps to develop that timing and mutual understanding, right?

OK, so I was wrong. Probably.

But suppose I was right? Suppose these QB/WR connections are just starting to find their rhythm?

I think we all made that assumption to some degree. I didn't think that Caldwell would be cut quite so soon, I figured he would probably stick around as long as Gaffney. I now believe that Gaffney gets the boot in a couple weeks for Jackson.
