lol... what a gigantic waste of everyone's time, especially the Steelers. They're going to feel like suckers.
At least we had the good sense to pull out when we knew we were being leveraged.

Trent Williams.......

And it would enable the Niners to be able to pay Aiyuk...just sayin'....
Cept the niners have plenty of WRs including Deebo and their rookie 1st rounder, and only one Trent Williams.

…unless it isn’t

Good ****ing lord already. Is he just loving the social media attention or something? What is up with this stuff?

Is anyone surprissed, Pats, Browns and now Steelers being used to get what he always wanted....Staying with 49's

Let him sign with the Niners for $30+ million. They can lose the Super Bowl again and watch half their dominant defense walk in free agency because their entire cap is spent on 5 guys,

Let him to go Pittsburgh so they can go 10 - 7, finish 3rd place in the AFCN, and lose in the wild card round for the next 4 years.

Either case is a win-win to me.

Update: Aiyuk to the Steelers is almost almost done.

I'm sticking to my position of... trading for a WR would have been good before the draft, but now that we've drafted two guys, we have a room full of guys we don't know the potential of. I'd rather find out if we have guys in the WR room that could do what Aiyuk does for a fraction of the price than mortgage the future at this point.

Maybe I am being a little overreactive to yesterday's joint practice but I think I may have swung over to the side of "Why bother?" when it comes to trading for a receiver this year. Without the offensive line being addressed a big time receiver on this team is just lipstick on a pig.

The truth is we could justify a big play for some lineman or some receivers. The offense has many holes and this is nothing new. Hell we don't even know if we have a viable QB yet. Right now it's almost worth just seeing if any of the new additions have potential

Once the Aiyuk thing fizzled I hope the approach is to see what the young receivers can do this season and then go after a big name next year if needed.

Sadly, he would be better than anyone that we currently have.
Of course he is.

The issue is not how good he is. For his whole career, the issue is getting him to want to play.

Wild considering that Pitt drafts great WRs with relative ease.

Im just glad that Wolf and Company did not do this deal. From what I gather, the Pats would have given up a 2nd, 3rd and a player.

Trent Brown has been a sad tale of wasted talent. Had he committed himself to being the best OT that he could be, the man could have found himself in Canton someday.
