1. The Patriots jumped out to a small lead in the first half while blanking a potent offense.
2. It had the Patriots squandering a potential bigger lead when Brady threw a red zone interception in the first half.
3. It had the Patriots D pitching a shut out for first 29 minutes of the game
4. It had fireworks in the second half as the Patriots took a double digit lead only to see the opponent come roaring back to take the lead, then the two teams see-sawed back and forth.
5. The opponent scored about a point a minute (29 points in 31 minutes for Carolina, 31 points in 30 minutes for the Chiefs) from about the halfway mark on.
5. In both games, Brady threw for around 350 yards.

Main difference is that Gostkowski did not miss two field goals like Vinatieri did, and of course, the '03 game was won with a FG in the final seconds.

Both starting safeties sustained injuries Vs Carolina which enabled them to comeback.
Yesterday none of our DB's were injured (thank G_d) it was fatigue against a VERY POTENT OFFENSE that enabled them to comeback.
