I'm far more concerned about Waddle coming back than Mitchell at this point. Cameron Flemming is passable for a third stringer, but he's still a #3 going against a very good front four. Waddle is no all-pro, but I'm more confident in him than Flemming.

Yea I think thats the consensus.

According to Rich Hill MM and JJ were not spotted at practice today.

Crap.

What does Reedy offer? Are they really going to put him back there in the AFCCG or Super Bowl to return a few punts? I guess he's the guy if Amendola gets hurt?

He is the only one who actually played NFL football outside of Reilly. I thought they would bring Reilly on 53 last week..

I like what C.Hollister brings to the table (a bit of MM, a bit of JJ) but i don't know if he is ready for NFL let alone AFCCG..

Maybe "not muff" as much as make an actual attempt at a return.

If both Amendola AND Chung are injured, we've got bigger problems than who's returning the punts. Might as well be Reedy.

before panic starts..

While panic is not warranted, these tweets are speculative and incorrect. Brady was not on the injury report last week and he will be today, and that represents an objective difference. Probably the Achilles again. While I expect him to play, it is reasonable to conclude he is worse than last week.

Agree.

This may be a move to keep Amendola off punt returns altogether for the next two games - allowing him to focus exclusively on offense, as much as to avoid injury. And I got the impression from Reedy's previous stint on the active roster that he values ball security over trying to demonstrate what a magnificent returner he is. Which is just fine by me.

I'm not sure who would be inactive in order to have Reedy active for PR duty, though.

At this point, I'm guessing that Britt hasn't progressed enough yet to be active on game day, but perhaps has progressed enough that the Pats would like to keep him around into 2018 and don't want to lose him on waivers.

Or, he simply didn't feel like talking to the dodo-heads and this was his "Get Out Of Presser Free" card.

Unless the team lied, he is seeing medical staff and will be on the injury report. That did not happen last week. You are suggesting he might have gone to the doc to avoid a presser. Why skip a presser? Have you ever known him to do that?
