AFC East Outlook for 2009: Patriots on Top
July 29, 2009 by
Robert Alley

The AFC East produced three teams with winning records in 2008 and a fourth just one victory shy of breaking even. We will look and see if they can keep up the good work in 2009. The Dolphins, Jets, Patriots and Bills get ready for another NFL season so let's look at 2009 before the preseason starts and make our predictions.

1. New England Patriots.

2. Miami Dolphins.

3. Buffalo Bills.

4. New York Jets.

Like almost every football team, the quarterback goes a long way in determining success. It is no different for the four teams of the AFC East. Great quarterback play smoothes over weaknesses and bad quarterback play exposes all the faults of a team. So all the predictions above hang upon the arm of each team's quarterback.
