Aside from this past off season we've been at or near the bottom in cash spending.. Vrabel said emphatically he wants to get guys to second contracts... first up Marcus, Gonzo then Drake. Having to pay your QB is a great thing.
Agreed, that means you've FOUND your future QB.

I remember when we talked about year three being a 'make or break' year for MAC. It was actually beneficial for the team that he was so bad that it made the decision easy.

And yes, I do realized I'm still saying this now even when he is finding success...I just don't think he was ever going to work in New England.

Agreed here.. having to pay your QB absolutely is a wonderful thing.. personally I feel like Drake won't be allowed to even sniff FA.. Vrabel will lock him up once he becomes eligible.. yes.. Drake's development thi season..pretty much accelerated the jump... Mac will likely never have another season as a starter in his career in wich he had his rookie season here.
Under the circumstances Mac was drafted as we all later learned there was so much turmoil in the organization and questionable coaching decisions that just made it nearly impossible for Mac to continue his development.. getting hurt didn't help either.

Oh my God... the Phish and Jest actually did something... Good?

Bills Offered Draft Picks for Waddle and Williams Before Deadline, Rivals Rejected Bids
Last updated 14 minutes ago
The Buffalo Bills aggressively pursued trades for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday. Buffalo offered a 2027 first-round pick and a 2026 third-rounder for Waddle, but the Dolphins demanded a 2026 first-rounder amid their rebuild. The Jets refused to trade Williams to a divisional rival, highlighting AFC East teams' reluctance to aid competitors in the tight playoff race.

Only pats fans will jump on the wagon and think that we are better than KC, BUF AND IND.
We beat Buffalo in their house. Only the fellowship of the miserable would think it’s silly to suggest we are better.

I wish the 1 and 2 seeds still got byes. Something about the current setup feels goofy

ETA: Allen's Bills have never had a playoff bye. The NFL went to 7 playoff teams in 2020 and the Bills havent had the 1 seed since
I love being able to get a bye finishing 2nd but ultimately it’s a huge reward and giving it only to the best seems right.

A wild start to this season. Never saw this coming.

I will admit ...I didnt see our team being this good this fast....I was more confident on next season. I do enjoy the fear in our opponents eyes now that the flying elvis is back!

Next week Buffalo has the DirtyFucaneers . A loss there all but clinches the division as long as we win the jets and Miami games. Cuz even with losing to Buffalo we’d have the tiebreaker in division record

That looks nasty. I see two nasty ones with KC and Detroit away. The rest at home ...I think we are winnable.
I guess it depends, as always, on what teams do in the draft and free agency. What looks tough now might not be so tough in ten months.

Buffalo has to play an angry (& maybe healthier) Bucs team next week. Good luck with that..

Division lead increased and the NFC South Title already locked up. Not bad days work today

Have you seen what the schedule looks like next year?
That SoB was expecting we’d go from a last place schedule to a third in division schedule. Not to a first place schedule.

Bills have a tough road down the stretch - they could lose 5 of the next 7 games (TB, @TEX, @PIT, CIN, @NE, @CLE, PHI)
Broncos should lose at least 2 or 3 more (~Chiefs 2x, Packers, Chargers)
Colts have Chiefs, Seahawks, 49ers... and Texans & Jags 2x each - which aren't easy.
We just need to stay focused on what's ahead of us each week and if we can go 5-2 we could get the bye.
