I will tell you right now as I did last season about Burgess, if the Pats trade a 2nd for Boldin, the Pats will get robbed. Boldin is a great receiver but he is always injured. With the draft being as deep as it is, why make the trade?

Ah well it took 19 posts into the thread before the doom merchants caught up on the story :bricks:

So the Pats are either the odds on favorite to get him or have no shot at all. Good to know. I am really excited, yet extremely disapointed at the same time.

Yeah, I'm less excited about this too... if we had a 3rd to give up, I wouldn't mind that (especially since it's a bottom half 3rd), but after doing pretty well with 4 2nd rounders last draft in a weaker draft, I'm kinda hoping we can hang onto them this year.

Maybe it's a 4th and a player?

I just regained hope, based on what people have said, this Wilson guy has alot of credibility. He is also the Ravens guy, so he would know if they were pursuing him.

Very interesting, hoping Schefter reports a mistake.

If this deal goes through, I'd expect the Pats to be giving up pick #53 and getting back either the Cards' 3rd or 4th round pick in return.

Except we don't have a 3rd, so it would have to be a 2nd or decent player (or perhaps a future 3rd, but more likely it would end up being a future 2nd).

Adam Schefter just mentioned they've spoken to the Patriots, on NFL Live.

He still says the Ravens are favorites, though.

They might want an extra pick to take Adalius off our hands. Adalius would be happy in Phoenix. It is great weather to avoid putting in the proper prep, film, and workout time to become a great player.
